And I can post 9 other polls stating the same things.
The democrats you are talking about are in swing states. Like Pennsylvania. In order to win re-election, you have to support those in your state, even when they don't represent the majority of Americans.
Again, where was the outrage when 30 states passed the same law. Does the first amendment to the Federal constitution not apply to states?
Fake outrage over an issue that no one cared about unless it follows the story line that Obama hates Christians.
Get your heads out of the sand people. This is not just birth control pills, this is sterilizations, the abortion pill, any and all contraceptives, all of it.
The church WILL NOT go against their conscience, they cannot.
I am wondering if Muslim institutions and businesses are going to be made to supply these as well. And will the government force them to comply the same way?
I'm lost here. Why is having your tubes tied or a vasectomy worse than going on the pill? There is no fertilization with sterilization. This entire debate gets nuttier as it goes...
28 states, including Georgia, require religious organizations to cover contraceptives in their health care plans. 17 of those states have no religious exemption. Hawaii's contraception coverage has been on the books since 1999. Where was the conservative outrage when these states passed these laws? Anyone who thinks that this isn't merely an anti-Obama false outrage, needs to wake up.

Are you suggesting that the Fox News/Limbaugh brigade is only complaining about this for political reasons? I'm shocked! Shocked, I say!
How amusing that states like California and New York have religious exemptions, while Indiana and Georgia do not. Right-wingers, how do you account for this?
I've only read down to post #90, if I'm repeating anything that came later I apologize.

This isn't an attack on the Catholic church, its been this way since at least the civil rights bill was passed.
True, and Catholic hospitals take federal Medicare and Medicaid money.

There you go again! The morning after pill is not an abortifacient!

Still don't get it I see. It's not just contraceptives obama is demanding they cover, but also the morning after pill (abortion pill) and sterilization services....totally, completely anathema to their beliefs.
Say it three times and it's true? The morning after pill is not an abortifacient.
Memphis, no they don't. There are a lot of conservative democrats that oppose this measure.
There is a lot of liberal democrats who are opposed to this and of course, libertarians.
It's funny, the Catholic bishops who helped Obama pass Obamacare since Obama promised not to mandate the contraception part and now they find out they were lied to---but heck, Obama doesn't care.
