Yes, there's a lot of debt. That's what happens when you fail to regulate banks. You get near economic collapse and things cost a lot. There's not a lot you can do in the short run. Cutting the deficit would push the country into a recession. The resulting negative GDP would echo for a generation.
The debt issue will largely fix itself when the country gets back on track. Once growing at a better rate, the resulting GDP loss that comes from cuts will be easier to handle.
Instead of accusing others of being ignorant, why don't you hit up the local library and learn something about politics and economics before you insult others. That said, I'm guessing you'll just read this and get mad since the bulk of your post is just emotion anyways.

There is a lot of debt you say. yes...there was 9 trillion of it when obama took office. And in the 3 years he has been in command, that debt has grown to 16 TRILLION...that is + 7 TRILLION by obama ALONE. Ignorant you say?? Maybe if you took more time to actually LOOK at the facts you wouldn't come off as so clueless.
The economy was in bad shape...but not over 9% unemployment rate bad...and if the actual unemployment numbers were known...that figure would be closer to 12% because the government no longer claims those who have run out of benefits and can no longer CLAIM unemployment. Pretty convenient for the obama campaign machine 'eh? But as long as they have dopes to regurgitate those numbers without knowing what the hell it all means, then I guess all is well...right?? Ignorant you say?? Maybe it's YOU who should spend some time in the library sonny.
Obama has done NOTHING to cure the nation of a serious crisis since he has taken office. he produced a couple of bailouts that did NOTHING to stimulate growth. Why? Because he doesn't have a CLUE as to what needs to be done to stimulate economic growth. No more than YOU have a clue where your local library is.
Throwing money at problems doesn't cure a damned thing...especially when there are no stipulations on that money. When he bailed out the banks....BILLIONS went into the pockets of corporate officers as 'bonuses'. Taxpayer money. Ignorant you say??
Obama had 2 years of total control....majority in both houses of congress and the white house...and what did he do?? he passed obamacare. The nation is flundering in debt and economic crisis...the debt was 9 trillion when he took office..and that idiot passes a healthcare bill laden with billions in PORK that had nothing to do with healthcare...
