Citing President Barack Obama's lack of leadership on environmental issues, one of the Democratic Party's most generous and influential donors says she is withholding further contributions, at least for the time being, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Philantropist Susie Tompkins Buell of San Francisco has contributed $25 million to progressive political and charitable causes in the past 10 years and $10 million for candidates and committees, her staff told the newspaper. Former President Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, and Hillary Rodham Clinton were among the recipients.

Buell's statement comes at a time when Obama travels to California for big-money fund-raisers this week. "I would just love to write my big check ... or have a high-dollar dinner here" for Obama, she told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I can't."

No big deal for Obama, though. He'll just get his money from the big banks like he's always done.

Party of the poor and downtrodden my hairy butt!

It's not just the GOP that has lost it's way these days.

No problem, Obama will just issue a few more edicts in favor of the environment.

Fortunately for her, she has a ton of money. Soooooo, they can't completely kick her to the curb like they did Cindy Sheehan for pointing out the unpleasant fact that the Democrats are no different from the Republicans.

Not like this is going to matter in the long run. So, I'll just applaud instead!

It's not how much is he losing. It's how much does he have stocked up?

There's talk of how Obama is going to have a $1 BILLION campaign. So I doubt this loss of donations is going to hurt him.

Obama is either going to be re-elected into office with a great-to-dominant showing

OR

He will put up a VERY tough fight if he does lose his spot in the Oval Office. It won't be easy to get rid of Obama, that's for sure.

Don't be surprised if/when he's re-elected.

It's like I always say.

Democrats sometimes disagree.

Republicans march in lockstep.
