"If you just cut, if all you're thinking about doing is cutting spending, as you cut spending you'll slow down the economy," Romney said. "So you have to, at the same time, create pro-growth tax policies."

Both tax increases and spending cuts have a negative implication for GDP. Given that you're putting yourself out there as an expert on the topic, how would you not know this? It's high school economics.
I couldn't believe when I read this. That was a serious oops on his part to state exactly what Dems have been saying for how long?
Actually a lot of Republicans believe you need to cut, but not too drastically quickly. Obama's version of cuts are cutting future spending increases so that spending still increases. Try listening.

Well he is right to a degree, a massive amount of money has been pumped into the economy and if you cut off the money it would definitely slow things down.
If you are going to cut spending you need to use other growth policies...cut taxes and reduce regulations.
George? I thought you had retired to Texas. When did you start posting here?
Basically you want to run more deficits. I'm not sure how a country with 50 different strong state jurisdictions is ever going to have less regulation.

Well if you don't want to slow the recovery and you cut spending.....you are going to have to cut taxes and/or reduce regulations to compensate. There are plenty regulations that could be reduced, we are an over-regulated country and all Obama has done is add more and more.
