"STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Rick Santorum says President Barack Obama is pushing a radical environmental agenda that unwisely limits energy production and turns its back on science.

Santorum told voters in eastern Ohio on Monday that science is on the side of those who want to aggressively produce more oil and natural gas in America. He said the notion of global warming is not climate science but “political science.”

Santorum says Obama backs radical environmental agenda that’s political, not scientific - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/environment/santorum-says-obama-backs-radical-environmental-agenda-thats-political-not-scientific/2012/02/20/gIQAX9sRPR_story.html - broken link)

On “Face the Nation” last Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum accused President Barack Obama of embracing a “phony ideal” of environmental theology that puts protection of the Earth above man’s desire to extract its resources, while grabbing more power for the government.
“When you have a worldview that elevates the Earth above man and says we can’t take those resources because we’re going to harm the Earth … it’s just all an attempt to centralize power, to give more power to the government,” the former Pennsylvania senator said."

As much as I dislike Santorum, I agree with him on this. Obama is putting the extremist environmentalist agenda ahead of what is best for America and our economy. Through Obama's entire Presidency he has basically been a puppet of the radical greenpeace crowd.

Santorum is not going too far to the right. He's always been there. What you see is what you get with Santorum. He was born in the wrong century and would have been well suited for the Salem Mass. of 1692.

No he hasn't. He was pro-choice at one time!

Santorum is a nut who I don't want anywhere near the Presidency, but he is absolutely correct on this issue.

The "green agenda", with its focus on "Climate Change" is one of the most evil political forces ever seen in human history as it marches forward manipulating its blind followers with deception and lies. The future of freedom demands that it be stopped before the masses of the gullible have us huddled shoulder-to-shoulder in urban caves.

I don't like Santorum but he's right on this issue. We made a BIG mistake with Obama so I don't see how making a BIG mistake with Santorum could be any worse. But I do agree that he may not be electable. BUT.... maybe the GOP has dirt on Obama that they could force him to lose the election. Or maybe they want Obama to stay in office because he's 100% controlled. Both parties answer to the same powers in charge and it isn't the american people.
The only time Obama touches a science book is when he stands on one to kiss his wife Michelle. Ba dum bump.

Guess ya don't have any idea what "steward " means.

The Repugs are wrong, it doesn't mean using everything as fast as possible with no thought for the future generations.
Repugs think "being above something", being in charge of something" means crushing it into oblivion just because they can....their usual sick, destructive power trip.

I wonder how it would take him to convert from policing carbon emissions to policing sperm emissions.

Let me guess, that's some of Sanctimonium's "science"?

Couldn't have said it better myself.
