Newt Gingrich's $2.50 gas promise - Feb. 24, 2012
Oh....But YOU have an understanding of it?

Then please...explain it all to us so that WE may be as enlightened as you are.

Sure doesn't sound like it.

Ken
Uh...Hey Ken? Maybe nobody informed you....but ...uh...the economy is not booming. Uh...I hate to be the one to break this to you, but uh....the economy is in the tank.....has been for quite some time. So....that doesn't seem to jibe with your assessment that gas prices are LOW when the economic activity is low.

Here Ken...have a beer and think it over...'K?

Newt, as he always does, is offering some nice sounding $2.50 BS for the more gullible to eat up. It isn't based on any reality and Newtster obviously has some susceptible consumers of his crap.

The democrats...the republicans...and the media has tried to paint Ron Paul as a RADICAL...an ISOLATIONIST because he thinks we should start minding our own business.....and because he doesn't think we should be going into undeclared WARS at every turn, they paint his views as MISGUIDED, and DANGEROUS.

It doesn't matter that the current system is corrupt...misguided....broken....and has strayed from what the founding fathers intended it to be. People don't want real CHANGE....they'd rather back a campaign slogan that promotes CHANGE...but not the real thing.

They want business as usual. They don't want to have to really THINK about the issues and try to figure out where it's all gone wrong. They rely on the media and the political propaganda to do that for them. The public is a puppet on a string...and that is why there will never be any real CHANGE like Ron Paul suggests. People are too stupid to see that the system is broken...and they have the media and the politicians telling them that everything is fine as long as you elect me.

Pretty sad state of affairs.

I'm not so sure you should be sounding like an expert when not long ago you were blaming Obama for policies that Clinton passed. Most regular people view Paul as a crazy likable old man. There's a reason why he didn't get the nomination in the 80's or the 90's and a reason why he didn't last time. There's also a reason why every first world country has a central bank. He also fails to mention that he wouldn't have a prayer in carrying through all of the policies that he talks about.

I do respect him for having the balls to actually be specific about things, but he's not electable and if he were, he wouldn't be able to do most of what he's saying he would like to do.

Not electable? He is a 12 term Congressman.

As to doing what he'd like to do. Have you heard of a Veto pen.

lets see, we have the 16th Amendment which governs income taxes.

now tell me how the states and federal goverment is allowed to tax gasoline per gallon. which they do not make nor provide to the people.

until the dividends are given to the stockholders, there is no actual income in gasoline.

Let's see, you blame the price of gas on a pipeline that wouldn't be built until 2015 at the earliest. You also blamed it on a drilling moratorium that would shut down less than 1% of the production platforms in the Gulf. Sorry, but everything you said earlier in this thread was wrong. Typical of RP supporters. High on emotion, but no clue about economics.

A veto doesn't get rid of the department of education, department of energy or the federal reserve.

dont worry, liberals are just as clueless as republicans are when it comes to economics. you dont grow the economy by taxing the people more.

I find your posts laughable when you pretend to be superior.

Regular people? It's people like you who actually make people 'regular people' hate liberals. Your ridiculous superiority complex is a complete joke. Really makes you look like the a-hole you probably are irl. But hey...Keep on blowing your own horn and talking down to people from your perceived 'advatage' point. It makes for a few good chuckles on an otherwise serious discussion board.
