Tall_Rep,

Read back on the forum. You previously blamed Obama for the bank bailouts that were passed by a different President. I'm definitely superior to that. When you actually have something to say here that is factually true, please let me know.

In terms of the rest of your comments, I'm hardly liberal. I just like calling people on both sides of the fence on arguments that are the opposite of intelligent. A good example of this would be your blaming Obama for laws passed by the President that ran the place before he did. Another good example of this is your assumption that my dispute of your comments has anything to do with political ideology. It doesn't.

As for your hate of me, it makes me smile. Whenever people get emotional like that, it's a clear sign that they can't back up what they say and I've completely owned them in the argument.

Feel free to let the forum know again how about how bad a job Obama did with the TARP bill that Bush signed into law in October 08. Don't worry, I'll keep reminding people of your statements.

Newt Gingrich's $2.50 gas promise - Feb. 24, 2012
Sounds to me like it is thee that has no understanding of the economy. The gas prices could be cut in half overnight if we had a man and a leader in the WH. We have neither, we are stuck with corruption for another few months.
Once obama is replaced, the economy will soar and gas prices will dive...

His "promise" is ridiculous at best and scary at worst. Is he going to hold a knife to the leaders of OPEC's throats in the night? He didn't even sound like he was confident it would work when he was outlining his "strategy".

And how many promises do politicians make and then never keep? Probably like 90% of them, so why choose to believe this one could be any more promising????

If you were president, what can you do to cut gas price in 1/2 overnight?

Most of you don't understand, this is not 1970s where the US consumed most of the energy. The developing countries like China and India are big energy players too.

Don't blame Obama. He can do thing that can easy it, but his policy is alternative energy. Therefore, he is doing what he can to make sure energy is high.

Alternative energy in the US really has nothing to do with the global price of oil. I think Nayabone is just trolling.

You do understand that the price of gas is rising not simply because the price of oil is going up, but because the dollar is falling, right?

You do realize the basic tenets of supply and demand right? Lemme give you a hint, demand is waaaaaaay up thanks to then rapid development of the Chinese and Indian economies. It doesn't help that the dollar is steadily losing its value....short of declaring war on ever god damn OPEC country out there and taking the oil by force, there's extremely few options the President can do to affect global oil prices.
