Oh my. So, the President was taking the high road, as a matter of principle, when he voted present? That spin is worthy of the best political operative. Congratulations.

It's really amazing that Republicans can't find one decent person to be the Republican nominee. What a joke that party has become. Pathetic!
Christie isn't running for President, he has a lot less to lose if he screws up on Meet the Press... he also doesn't give a damn if people don't like him.

So do you want to switch topics to overall electability or do you want to keep up your extremely ignorant rants about Meet the Press? If Romney can't defeat Obama why are you guys so scared of him? Why do you want him to go on Meet the Press so bad?

I know why, because you are scared of him and you want every chance possible for him to screw up and give you yet another sound bite you can flood the web with.

You know that Romney is the only person who appears to have a chance at beating Obama and that scares you. Of course the GOP is pathetic, they're just as pathetic as the Democratic party... hell they nominated and elected the most incompetent and inexperienced President in History in 2008.

No reason to vote for, or against, a bull you agree with that has poison pills injected into it.

Would you vote for a federal income tax cut if it included a huge tax on the FINANCIAL WEALTH of the top 1%?

Take your pick... Yes or no... Either way you vote someone would spin your vote against you.

Your logic of he's 'chicken' makes no political sense. I'll stick by my original assertion that he did not need to go. Filling out that logic is thre age-old use of proxy's to get your message out. No one can be everywhere at once. It is quite common to send proxy's in one's stead. After all, there were 100,000 or so Nascar fans in Daytona. My guess is that there is a heck of a lot more potential GOP voters in Daytona, then would have tuned into a sunday morning news and commentary show, of any ilk. Priorities, priorities.

By the way, the clue to your poor logic is comments like; Mittens, crap candidate, a nut like, a joke, pathetic.

Look what you post looks like when those are deleted

No reason other than the fact that you're elected and paid to vote either for/against bills... not show up and mark present.

Romney isn't the GOP nominee, Obama was the nominee at that point and Hillary was out of the picture.

You are ignorant, most bills on the senate are procedural votes not actual laws.
its not like he was ducking controversial issues. alot of senators vote present for laws, that they lknow dont have any chance of getting signed into law.
