YOU can credit WHOEVER you want (your opinion on the subject is unimportant) - but the AMERICAN people will credit the PRESIDENT (as they ALWAYS DO) for the economic recovery - meaning that as the economy CONTINUES to recover, Obama's chances of re-election continue to IMPROVE - something I said would happen all along, unlike those people (similar to yourself) who continuously made silly statements such as "the DOW will be 4,000 in 4 years time" and "Unemployment will 50%", "There will be food riots in the streets", "We'll have hyperinflation" and other dumb "doom and gloom" type statements - NONE of which had a snowballs' chance in Hell of happening.

Real Personal Consumption Expenditure has stagnated for four months.

Real Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCEC96) - FRED - St. Louis Fed

And real disposable income has stagnated for 20 months (nevermind no real growth since Sept 2006), but people in this thread believe that people have more money and are spending more it. Nope, it is all credit spending and even PCE is flat-lining.
