Most of these would be good. Christie is adamant that he wouldn't accept it, and he seems serious about that. Both Rand Paul and Susanna Martinez are relatively inexperienced. I still like the idea of Rand Paul, though because he would bring in tea partiers and some Ron Paulites. And he would add not only ideological balance, but geographic balance.

I think that should be left to the candidate. he knows who he can work with and who would be best for us. If he were to ask us I voted for Suzanne M, for NM. She has been effective so far, is conservaitve and her name couldn't hurt. I also like Rubio, of course, Chris Cristie and Paul Ryan, but I bet it won't be any of these. Usually the choice is not someone on our list.

I am not sure he would bring in the Tea Party. As for Christi you are right, but Rubio has even been more admant. You are right about the Paulites, they might be more willing to vote if Rand was on the ballot, but we all have to remember, the Vp candidate usually has little to do with how people vote.

I think Bob McDonnel will be the best strategic choice and if it's Romney the best compliment to his background, in that McDonnel adds to Romney's expertise. He is also strategic in that we need to carry Virginia this time.

The VP choice is not really up to the nominee though. I know it is made to look that way, but not really. There is already a very short list the party has vetted and the vp is more than likely down to a few people.

i would say that condoleeza is too associated with bush and his policies, even though she is bright.

and could the republicans PLEASE not trot out paul ryan-since he voted for TARP, the bailouts, etc.

could we please get somebody who looks out for the rest of us this time?

if the republicans were really smart, they would either go with ron paul, rand paul, or a blue dog democrat.

they need some fiscal conservatism, and less social dogma on the ticket to win a general election.

Rice and Chrisitie are pretty much out from there own words.Perhaps Ryan because Romney is hurting in more conservative state right now.But he may need to go further south and that would mean someone like Rubio or Jindal.

He'd need to pick anyone that could help with the independents. Should pick someone really moderate.
