I could easily be wrong but wasn't Herman Cain gunning for Gingrich's VP slot?

I almost think that this would help Santorum and Romney more than Newt. Except maybe in Texas, I am not sure if Perry is still heavily popular there.

What a phony baloney manipualtor...lol. First of all, isn't this just a wee bit premature? This is very obvious and desperate I might add.

For me, it's a gigantic double negative, but I am sure he is hoping this will push the south and Texas his way. Not so sure about TX though, aren't Perry's approval ratings very low now?

That would be one of the worst presidential tickets of all time, just goes to show how desperate Newt is. Most Texas Republicans that I know loathe Perry.

You gotta squeeze the moon colony in there. That's crucial.

He was when he wanted his endorsement and voters, and then Sarah Palin was mentioned when he wanted her to get behind him. Now he thinks Perry can seal the deal on the southern states.
