Great family man.

Great conservative credentials.

Is he perfect? Absolutely not.

Has he made mistakes? Absolutely yes.

Can he become the next Reagan? I believe so.

I also believe that his faith will help get him through the BILLION DOLLAR attack machine of 0b0mba.

Pennsylvanians are mortified that Santorum has come this far. For all the conservative complainiing about the main stream media being liberal, I have yet to see any national stories about his reprehensible remarks when he was senator. There is absolutely no support for him in his home state of Pennsylvania.

The Dems love the idea of Santorum getting the nomination, Obama would win in a landslide. Yes, Go Santorum!

He was never popular with state Democratic voters, but he seemed to remain popular with Republicans. He lost pretty heavily in 2006, but to a very conservative Democrat who had a popular last name. He'll probably win the Republican primary in PA, I think, if he's still running.

Getting endorsements from party officials is another question, as they don't want to burn any bridges with the official nominee, which despite his recent successes, he remains a longshot.

I always cringe when I hear that "family values" term. I think it appeals to those who feel threatened by something they don't understand or don't know, or by people who are different than themselves. Are the other Republican candidates not "family men?" Or is it that they don't espouse their religion as the right one as often as Santorum does? Reagan rose by feeding on and exploiting people's fears (government is your enemy, welfare queens are driving Cadillacs and taking your money) - and Santorum seems to be taking a page out of that playbook.

He is up by about 30 points with Penn Republicans.

Which poll is that? The party leadership in this state sure doesn't want him - he's too conservative.
