3) Haiti, South Africa, Zimbabwe, etc. did not take advantage of the infrastructure the pig skins left behind after they were massacred/exiled. They reverted back to their old ways of rape, starvation, corruption, etc. Why is the devil obligated to educate the Africans?

4) Why is it wrong for me to discuss the entitlement complex that permeates American society? Should I just follow the politically correct script and ignore it, like black on white assault and rape?
Is the subtext here simply that older whites need to be in charge or everything will go to hell? Sure, whites have been the major architects of civilization since the enlightenment, but racial rule never was or will be defensible. And in the USA, the land of immigrants, it is not central to our future. Obama is brighter and more sensible by far than any of the candidates the GOP has put forward, so the whites don't monopolize vision. Regardless, we will continue to more increasingly reflect the world as a whole, not just a sodden island in NW Europe. If the old white guy party wants to lead, not just be racist despots, they need to genuinely care about and help invest in other elements of society. The GOP actively cultivates selfishness and victimhood by the wealthy, and contempt for most nonwhite people in society, younger people and women, college educated people, and public service employees, scientists, etc.,etc., and that is why they are doomed. I thought they would consider failures and abuses of power and regroup after the W fiasco, but if anything they have lurched further to the right. The demographics don't look good for the GOP, and from what I have seen lately, I say good riddance.

The whites have not educated the minority races enough to hand off leadership of the country to them. The whites have to realize that our demographics are declining rapidly and, that if we wish to have a comfortable existence in a less white country, it is up to us to ensure that the black and brown children get a good education and that they understand and appreciate the country that they live in. But right now we are closing their schools and chasing the hispanics out of school. If we continue down that path, this country will look like Hati or Mexico in 20 years. We need to change course quickly if we are to survive and prosper. For example, as we whites age, we are going to need lots of doctors, specialist and nurses. If we do not educate the blacks and hispanics, where the hell are they going to come from? This affects everybody.

While there are undoubtedly many unintelligent people in all walks of life, one can't argue that the fact that Santorum--a man who wants to turn the U.S. into an 18th century theocracy--is competitive in the GOP primaries does kind of invalidate your outrage at Republicans on the whole being viewed as less than intelligent.

Maybe you have forgotten we seniors have paid into SS and Medi care, it isn't a govenment give away: Senior housing: most seniors do not depend on senior housing anymore than most 30 somethings depend on food stamps: transportation services: what transportation services?

I hope you realize there are a hell of alot more people under 65 that are benefiitting from government handouts, but that is a totally different topic for a different time.

You also mention training doctors, etc cause old whites are disappearing or it seems you think they are, while we white close down schools? Boy do you have a vivid imagination: schools are not closed down unless the youth population in areas are not high enough, then kids are bussed to other schools: minority doctors are everywhere in case you haven't noticed. We can spend money til it is coming out of our ears to educate the so called minorities you refer to, it is pretty much a fact, putting more money into education isn't the answer..School districts with the highest per capita spending are not producing better prepared young people. Moral values, teaching kids the importance of working for what you want, homes with 2 parents or at least, roll models from both sexes, these are the things that help our kids develop into good, solid citizens, not good money thrown down the drain.

I think that anti-intelligence statement was a lament about the modern state of the party. The intelligent folks (Romney, Paul, Huntsman) are marginalized, while they rally around morons like Palin, Bachman, or Perry, or morally bankrupt types like Gingrich. Santorum does not believe in evolution, for chrissake. How the hell is that guy running for the presidential nomination? He will probably choose Joe the Plumber for VP. Come on, a country with the greatest universities in the world has to settle for leaders like that?

I too know plenty of intelligent conservatives, but why are they not running? Why does the party keep trying to sell the people on a bunch of liars and hacks?

To be honest, this is the way I see it. I am an African-American male in my mid-20's. I am a Christian. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe in working for yourself. I don't want to live off of welfare. That said, whenever there are Republican candidates who have basically alienated people like me, why would I join the Republican side? With all of the jingoism, dirty talk, and other crap going on, what reason would I have to be a Republican?

Funny you would ask, why they aren't running, we discussed this just last night at our daughters house cause he asked the same thing: I have a couple of theories, of course these are just my ideas: 1-some of those who might be outstanding candidates don't want their families exposed to the MSM. 2-some don't want to run when we have an incumbant running: they run, they might get beat and they are suddenly losers. 3-many of the really good conservatives are really just too new or too young. They will wait until 2016 or 20.

BTW, I don't think Palin is a moron, she was totally unprepared in 2008, she has come along way, and no, I am not a supporter of hers. Bachmann has some strange ideas, but again, certainly is no moron and Perry, I am not sure, enough people really knew enough about him. Some of his poor showings during the debates had to do with his, then, recent back surgery. Is he a walking dictionary? Hardly, but why do so many think, only a person with an IQ about 160 should be Pres. Look at Jimmy Carter, enough, that proved high IQ does not produce good Presidents.

Again, these are just my ideas.

Interesting take. I think the smart candidates have probably decided the Obama is just not beatable. That is probably true. Romney was just figuring that if the economy keeps tanking, a candidate with proven business experience might have a shot. I think he is right. It is all a gamble, and Romney knows he has the best odds in this situation.

I do think a high level of intelligence is essential for POTUS. It is the most complex and powerful job in the world. An IQ of 160 is not necessary, but I would expect at least 125-130 or so, coupled with a lot of common sense and emotional intelligence to boot. It scares me when I feel like I am much smarter and more informed than a presidential candidate. I feel that way about Perry, Santorum, Bachmann, Palin, and Cain. Not Gingrich, but he has other issues. I do think Romney is pretty smart too.
