Once the party of limited government, rational adults who didn't believe in crying and screaming like the left, and strong defense, i.e. "peace through strength" not necessarily endless wars. Now jihads into people's bedroom, Glenn Beck et al. evangelistic preaching and crying, and general stupidity... RIP Goldwater

I am a Goldwater Republican, about five of us left.

What happened was Barry's protegee had to get the social conservative vote in order to win an election. The cause of fiscal sanity and liberty has not had a significant ally since then.

I think Ron Paul could save their party, but they aren't smart enough to elect him.

They have had to fight the Democrats giving away the US Treasury to government union employees and for social services in exchange for large donations to the Democrat party and the vote.

In 2008 the corrupt Teacher's Union gave 400 million to Obama for just his Presidential run.

How do you compete with people who steal from the Treasury and offer plates of our $100 dollar bills in exchange for a blind vote?

Go talk being self reliant and fiscally conservative with some voters that are on the take.

Problem now is the whole country is beyond broke and the road they used to kick this can down isn now a cliff.

We need to make government unions and Democrats extinct to get the country solvent again.

I never voted for a Democrat.
I never said you did. Merely that you do a good job of delivering routine Democrat talking points.

Actually, it was all unions that gave a total of $400 million in '08, not just the teachers unions.
