Romney is better suited to address those issues than Santorum.

That e-mail is absolutely disgusting. Disgusting.

If they were only worried about those issues, they would vote for Romney who obviously has the plans to focus on those issues. As a matter of fact, voters that are only interested in those issues and getting Obama out of the White House do vote for Romney. Unfortunately, the statistics and exit interviewing show that a large percentage, especially in the evangelical denominations, do not vote for Romney just because of religious bigotry. It's a sad fact, but true and emails that flame the bigotry like the one I posted are disgusting. Santorum has whined and cried foul about negative campaign ads and yet he allows something like this trash to be sent out in his support?

I agree, it is unconscionable. The Catholic church routinely sends out similar missives to their flock, usually in their weekly bulletins, that pretty much state that a vote for a Democrat is a vote against God. I wish I were exaggerating, but unfortunately I'm not. My parents are Catholic (I left the church decades ago) and I've read a few of them.

In my view there are many reasons not to support Romney (sorry, tmsterp ) but this kind of stuff infuriates me. I don't care if a politician is Baptist, Mormon or atheist, religion has no place in politics whatsoever. Letters like the one Santorum penned are exactly the reason why. His vision for America is a theocracy; it should give everyone pause that he has actually been competitive in this race.
