It was a pack of cigarettes and a ride to the polls. Packs of cigarettes in 2000 had to be more than a buck in my estimation then throw in the trip if you can, but I've honestly never smoked even a puff and have no certain guess as to the cost of a pack 12 years ago.

Well, if this is true, then somebody should have been held accountable - not just for breaking the rules but also for handing out cigarettes.

I have no idea how much a pack of cigarettes cost 12 years ago. I know when I was in high school (many years ago), I played around with the smoking thing briefly and back then a pack cost something like 35 cents (I think I'm remembering that correctly). But that was a long, long, long, long, long, long time ago.
