Oh, yes, and the dog enjoyed it so much he crapped all over himself and the car.
Who's the source? One of the Romney kids?
And how do we know there was a windbreak (not that it would make any difference, really)? Mittens himself said there was a windbreak and then ANOTHER time, he flip flopped (whoops!) and said the dog "liked" the fresh air.
Maybe YOU would liked to be strapped to the roof of a car, in a box, for a 12-hour road trip at speeds of 60-70 miles per hour?
The dog loved the Romneys so much, he ran away when they reached their destination.
Look for Dogs Against Romney to be very active and very vocal in the upcoming months.
Yep millions of pet owners out there, they don't forget, you can count on it.
I will simply say: if it takes this long to dismiss a bigoted, ultra-right-wing nutjob like Santorum then the Republican Party has much to learn about trying to win over middle America. As much as Mitt isn't a "purist" he is 100x more electable than Santorum.
If Santorum or any of the other joke candidates had anywhere near the Romney campaign's money or organization it would likely have been a much closer contest. That Romney had to outspend a clown up to 50:1 in some states to win favor among his own party doesn't say much for him or the party.

I know! Funny how so many of his supporters don't see the implication in that, though.

Yep.
Dollar for dollar, on a resource-level basis, Santorum outperformed Romney. And now he's got a critically-important (or dangerous, depending on your perspective!) attribute -- experience at running a campaign for the nomination, something that Romney and McCain and Dole and GHW Bush and Reagan all had. And in all of those cases, this attribute was critical to them eventually winning their party's nomination.
Can't fault the guy for trying. Although the writing has been on the wall for some time now. Can't beat the Romney machine and it's backers.
Although I did not support Santorum I recognize the important contributions he made to the national discussion of many issues of the day during the GOP primaries.
