In January 2010 the former Massachusetts governor proudly cast a ballot for Republican Scott Brown in the special election to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. He didn’t own property in the state at the time, and had registered to vote listing his son’s unfinished basement as his residence.

You people are pathetic and really desperate. The Romney's have had a home in Massachusetts for years. That is where their primary residence is.

Well, maybe it was the "center of Mitt's domestic, social, and civil life"
When does a basement get it's own address Was it a
garden apartment

Romney’s street address was redacted on the tax return for 2010, released earlier this year — but it listed Belmont as his town of residence. This does not necessarily clear Romney, however, since he purchased a home in Belmont in June 2010 — approximately 14 months after selling his previous Belmont home in April 2009, and after he had voted using his son’s address.

Any good lawyer could get him off based on an argument of where he intended to keep a primary residence and that he paid taxes for the year in Massachusetts. If he can prove that he stayed at his son's house one time than there is 100% no violation.

Hey, wait a minute, don't the Dems tell us voter fraud doesn't happen? Perhaps the time for voter ID has come!

This story has been out there since the beginning of primary season. It will be interesting to see if it gets more traction now that Mitt Romney as the presumptive Republican Party nominee.

I hope so, this looks like a pretty clear case of voter fraud.

The far bigger question is how this plays in Massachusetts in terms of voter support? Now you would vote for a person running for President if you lived in the a state were the candidate claimed he was based but actually spent very little time there? Massachusetts is a traditionally Democratic voting state as it is. Mitt just put one more obstacle in his path in terms of winning this state.

If Mitt can't win his "Home" state that's not a good sign in terms of winning the general election. Name the last time a person won a presidential election without winning his "Home" state?
