The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.
When one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the country’s challenges.

A rather bold statement, and it is really not that relevant to Romney. I do think there are some here who seem to have no shame and no sense of proportion. They give us the worst President in a century or more, then they act all self-righteous about the deficit, etc., like five minutes later. The dittohead W supporters should just ****. Seriously. But instead they continue to shout at the top of their lungs as if the guy who is cleaning up after the orgy caused it.
Then again, Romney is really not that bad of a candidate. The lunatic fringe did not make the cut. So the GOP should get credit for that.
Romney is indeed a corporate suit by all indications, but at least he does not seem stupid or insane. I am confident he would be a much better President than W.
