You folks on the left keep trying to sell us this silliness - he's such a smart man, and yet the country is a mess...all under his stewardship, and it's not getting better.
UBL should have been a slam dunk, not an occasion to have to ponder while golfing. I'll betcha someone held his feet to the fire on this. Can you imagine the uproar if it leaked we had UBL in our sights but Obama wouldn't call in the SEALs? IMO he didn't do it because he wanted to.
Depends if you believe Obama when he provides no proof that Bin Laden is truly dead. No body,No pictures nothing notta. Now if it had truly been reversed and Romney had to make the decision he would have flip and flopped over it like everything else he has done.

Do your homework. You will find there was a lot of complexity. Gates and Biden both opposed Obama's final SEALS effort. So, it was not a trivial decision.
And things are getting better. I thought the new story was they are not getting better fast enough...
To quote Biden, OBL is dead, GM is alive. Both are due to Obama as much as anyone.

You don't think the SEALS know how to do their work? Are you calling them liars? The military is so full of suckups and liars that they would perpetrate the world's biggest fraud to cover for Obama?
Yes, Obama used all the tactics he campaigned against in 2008 to successfully capture Osama Bin Laden. There's nothing wrong with that though, and I'm glad he came around to the right approach to foreign policy, even if it did take him actually being the president. But hey, it sounds good to yell and scream about America's awful Bush-doctrine foreign policy until you actually see the threats, and I give Obama credit for realizing he was wrong once he was in office.
Criticize Romney all you want, but I keep hearing that he will be a continuation of the Bush-era policies. He either is or he isn't, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. So which one is it?
I give Obama credit for capturing Bin Laden, but you could also scour Obama's 2008 statements which were generally anti-war to rally up the base, and you could also conclude he wouldn't have ordered the raid. But he did. It's impossible to speculate the decisions someone would make when they actually have the intelligence available to them

I agree. It's easy to make assertions on the campaign trail; quite a different thing once in office and tasked with the immense job of actually having to govern. It's impossible to tell what any candidate will do with any certainty once they get into office and have access to intelligence that isn't available to them as candidates. There's a reason presidents age so rapidly.
I thank you, as well, for acknowledging and giving Obama credit for accomplishing the mission of capturing Bin Laden. It's not something that many of the right will acknowledge.

Thank you. I have many problems with Obama, but in most (not all, but most) cases his foreign policy and counter-terrorism policies are not among them. I do think Obama reversed course from many of his campaign statements on counter terrorism, but I think that is a genuine growth from being in office and having access to the intelligence. And I don't think it's hypocrital to change course on national security. I would frankly be worried if any president were so hard line that they would put politics above national security even once they knew the classified details of every situation. In Obama's case he definitely got the political benefit in the end anyway, but he got it from pursuing a solid strategy. Theres a lot I think the guy has done wrong, and he has a lot of political advantages that he shouldnt have if you look at reality (imo, anyway), but any political boost he gets from Bin Laden is well deserved. I think if Bush, Romney, McCain, or Hillary were in office at the time I think they likely would have found him as well since I do think they would have all pursued similar national security strategies. One thing I will definitely credit Obama with from the start is his insistence on bringing the national defense focus back to Afghanistan. He campaigned on that from the beginning and stuck with it. And I think he was right and has been pretty successful in Afghanistan
Lets get back to real life - Obama has NOTHING to run a campaign on - So he has to insult others and what they might or might not even do. Remember what Obama said when Gas reached $3.00 a gallon under bush???
The time for excuses is over! We have 20% unemployment - Remember what Obama said? We need 800 billion to prevent unemployment from rising above 7%. That was 3 1/2 years ago!!
The time for excuse is UP! TIZ TIME TO REMOVE OBAMA FROM OFFICE!! We the People are sick of EXCUSES... ... and lame insults!! "cops are stupid" !! Obama said it!!

Ah, Sity. We can always rely on you for comic relief.
It always baffles me how some can predict what someone else would have or would not have done in a given situation. The person not involved would not have all the factors involved to make an informed decision.
All of which means that speculation is just that, speculation.
I agree with what you're saying. None of us knows what we would or wouldn't do until we have the responsibility, know the facts and are called upon to make a decision.
