Now the GOP is threatening to ban ALL of the delegates from Nevada because they are afraid they will vote for Ron Paul at the convention. The Romney-ites are starting to look desperate.
Wondering if it was just a threat, now that the deal is done.
Despite what you may have heard from the mainstream media, Mitt Romney does not have the Republican nomination locked up. In fact, he is rapidly losing delegates that almost everyone assumed that he already had in the bag. To understand why this is happening, you have to understand the delegate selection process. Each state has different rules for selecting delegates to the Republican national convention, and in many states the "voting" done by the public does not determine the allocation of delegates to particular candidates at all. And the truth is that delegates are the only thing that really matters in this race. In state after state, the Ron Paul campaign is focusing on the delegate selection process with laser-like precision, and it is paying off big time. At this point, there is still a legitimate chance that Ron Paul will be able to win enough delegates to deny Mitt Romney the nomination on the first ballot at the Republican national convention in Tampa. If Romney does not have the 1,144 delegates that he needs on the first ballot, then it becomes a brokered convention and anything becomes possible at that point.
Sadly, most Americans have no idea how this process really works.
For example, originally we were all told that Mitt Romney won Iowa.
Then, later on we were told that a mistake was made and that Rick Santorum actually won Iowa.
Well, it turns out that Ron Paul actually won 20 out of the 28 delegates in Iowa. That is because the process of actually selecting the delegates occurred long after the voting by the public was over.
Also during the Nevada convention, Paul backers beat out two Romney supporters in a vote to choose two people who will represent the state on the Republican National Committee, which runs the national party. Though the newly elected committee members won’t start serving their terms until after the August convention, their four-year presence on the committee could help promote Paul’s libertarian-minded agenda. For a long-shot candidate like Paul, success might be the mainstreaming of his ideology.

Where do you get these stories that you seem to think are fact? Who named him Obomney, do you know? BTW, most hard core right wingers as you like to call them, do not refer to Obama by color or Romney for that matter. These are titles libs have chosen for their own purposes.
Nita
Actually, I'm far right, and I call him OBomney or Rombama.
Contrary to what we've been told by most of the Mainstream Media Ron Paul has won the majority of delegates in Massachusetts (59%, 16 of 27), Oklahoma (60%, 9 of 15), Colorado (56%), Minnesota (83%), Louisiana (74%), Iowa (50+%), Missouri (50+%), Washington (50+%) and he's well on his way to doing the same in Maine, Nevada, and North Dakota. But you won't hear that on Fox or CNN. Neither will they tell you that Ron Paul has been invigorating liberty supporters by the thousands at his massive rallies.
Whatever...if he wins the nomination you can sweep Hussein in on a red magic carpet ride for another four years.
Another great speech from RP in San Francisco. He covers a lot of territory on this one, from economics to the war on the poor, to foreign policy to the true role of government. Notice he doesn't carry a note or an outline with him, he just talks. I love this man!

You don't need to tune into a news channel on the boob tube featuring some biased, non-objective reporter, who is a slave to political correctness, when you can get that info on Drudge, message boards, etc.
Good plan, since people on message boards are never biased and non-objective.

Of course he doesn't have it locked up. However it is very likely he will do so on June 5th.

In case you haven't heard, Romney's delegate count went down over the weekend.
