How is it the taxpayer's money?

President Obama draws a salary as president, and last I looked, once someone receives a paycheck, that money is theirs to do with what they want.

How is it taxpayers' money?

Who do you think Ms. Joseph was talking about? The Easter Bunny? The Christmas Goose? Unicorns?

Lordy, I'm glad I was born with brains!
People do usually vote for the candidate that proposes policies that they feel will benefit them. Do you really think that she thought that Obama was going to write her a personal check???

Knock, knock yourself. Brains are useless unless the function...btw.

The Obama's adjusted gross income in 2004, before his book hit the best seller list, was $207,624, of which a little over $50,000 was his Illinois Senate Pay. The rest of it mostly came from Michelle's job. And, they paid over $40,000 in taxes for a net income of about $167,000.

That's not bad, but it hardly ranks them up there among the super wealthy, does it?

AFTER his book became a best seller, though, their income jumped to $1,655,105, on which they paid $545,614 in taxes, a rate of just over 33%. And, they donated an additional $77,315 to various charities.

I'd compare his income with Romney's...but, ol' Mitt doesn't want to release that information. Reportedly, he's worth about 1000 times that much.

It also doesn't matter how much it cost unless taxpayers paid for it. Nobody on this forum paid for Mrs. Romney's shirt. And Obammy gets a salary so I would imagine he paid for his wife's bag.

The difference is *******s seem to think the mere act of being able to afford the shirt is bad bad, but they think nothing of the cost of the bag. I'm merely pointing out how silly they are. Obammy is doing a very good job of dividing the country by class, but his minions don't seem to be able to figure out that he's one of the high income classes. Yes, that's how dumb they are.

As to name calling, if it fits, use it.

My point was that Michelle Obama is spending her own money on her clothes. I'm not sure what the above rant is about.

You said the Obama's had money before he became President, so I just thought I'd show you how MUCH money they had. Before he became a successful author, it wasn't a helluva lot.
