It’s almost become expected at this point. In the nearly four years he’s been in office, Vice President Joe Biden has awed the country with his gaffes (see here, here, and here, just to name a few). And on Sunday, he struck again.
During an interview with David Gregory on “Meet The Press,” Biden’s mind seemed otherwise occupied when it came to consistently and correctly referring to who he was talking about. For example, at one point, and much to the joy of Republicans, he referred to Mitt Romney as “President Romney.” But as if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, he couldn‘t seem to keep his own boss’s name straight: he also referred to Barack Obama as “President Clinton.” The Washington Free Beacon noticed it all:

Joe Biden Gaffe: Calls Mitt ‘President Romney,‘ Obama ’President Clinton’ | Video | TheBlaze.com

Seems even the vice-president thinks Mitt Romney will be the next president or maybe he thinks he already is...who knows?

Biden says crazier crap than Palin and more frequently, yet the media mostly gives him a pass by in large.

ah the Democrats, party of the uber-intellectual, not like those dumb hick rube Republicans:

Obama: 57 states, navy 'corpseman,' etc:
Biden: "President Romney," and too many others to list
Pelosi: "we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it"
Reid: "light skinned Negro," "you can smell the tourists," etc.

Reeling from two decisions in the Supreme Court and with the polls trending against them, Republicans seek comfort in gotcha politics.

I think it is telling into the minds of Team Obama.

Most of the time Team Obama doesn't sound like an incumbent. They are trying to run against Bush again, hence the rhetoric may as well be 'President Romney,' because they spend less time talking of their accomplishments than what they will do if they get another 4 years and Bush, kiosks, atms, tsunamis, etc.

Likewise, he wants to remind Democrats of the good times, of course not the past 4 years, but of Clinton.

We are Clinton - running against Romney who is Bush. This is what Team Obama has to sell...they can't sell themselves.

Prophetic. He meant "president Romney" and "former president Obama".
