WASHINGTON (AP) Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won most of the delegates in a three-state primary sweep and added a few more Wednesday from previous contests to move him within 200 delegates of clinching the Republican nomination for president.

He could get there by the end of the month.
Romney has 966 delegates. It takes 1,144 delegates to clinch the nomination to take on President Barack Obama in November. Romney has 178 delegates to go, though his campaign is already in general election mode.
Texas Rep. Ron Paul, the only other Republican still in the race, has 104 delegates.
Romney won 84 of the 107 delegates at stake in Tuesday's primaries in North Carolina, Indiana and West Virginia. He also picked up an endorsement from Ada Fisher, a Republican National Committee member from North Carolina who will automatically attend the convention.

That's not the official delegate count. Notice how Romney hasn't posted any numbers on his website. He won't make it to 1144.

You guys say this, yet you can't prove it. We at least provide sources. You can attack the sources all you want, but what have you got to back up your claims?

After Ron Paul has siphoned off votes already counted for Romney in every state, it would behoove you to wait until the state conventions, to make your totals public, before you too look foolish and uninformed.

I didn't write the article or the hundreds of others that say the same thing. Foolish and uninformed suits most of the Paul supporters it seems.

You find the truth, when you get away from the bias.

Is Ron Paul eligible for RNC? You bet. He won 5 states, but where is the delegate counts from MSM? It doesn't exist.

MSM has been telling us he is the nominee since last year.

If you believe we are uninformed, then you should enlightened us.

LMAO You were the one posting the article and giving it credence. Romney supporters are just like him, flip flopping is a life style.

You call the ones who saw the economic collapse coming, uninformed and foolish? You call the ones who do not back the manipulative destructive economic government controls that causes the booms and busts uninformed and foolish? The same ones who insist we treat people in the Middle East like humans instead of animals that should be slaughtered are uninformed and foolish?

The only fools are the ones who support the same destructive policies and expect a different outcome. At least Homer Simpson learns.

Due to the fact that it appears delegates are NOT bound according to RNC Rules and even if they were delegates appear to be able to abstain from voting... we are keeping a clean count. Delegates are only recorded AFTER the state convention is held and we know which candidate has those delegates.
