That came out of his own book in his own words so please don't try to refute it.

Now, with that said, I don't care what Obama did as a teen. We all go through things and stages in life and he obvously overcame. However, to try and make Mitt Romney a bad person over a high school prank...as told by someone who wasn't even actually there is assinine at best.

It isnt' going to work folks...because nobody cares about this. It makes the Democrats and the Obama campaign look foolish...because it is.
It's about character, Dixie. As you yourself admit, Obama has written about his past and owned his own foibles. He didn't run away from his mistakes, he took responsibility for them. For the last three years he's been under intense scrutiny as the opposition has searched for something, anything, to hang on him. They've found nothing incriminating, though not through lack of trying (birthers, anyone? THAT'S the kind foolishness, coming from your own side, that you're trying to pin on the left.) Assessing one's character from how one treats another who is weaker than himself, especially when that person is running for high elected office, is not "foolishness."

Romney is essentially a blank slate in the minds of most Americans. They are going to be assessing his character in the coming months to get a read on it. Stories of bullying don't serve him well, and even more so when he tries to shrug them off as mere pranks. Better that he would own his mistakes and show some moral character. But I have always contended that Romney is a coward, and both the story itself (yeah, it takes a lot of courage to lead a group attack on a weaker kid) and his caviler, dismissive attitude about it even years later, only serve to reinforce that.

This should put an end to this ridiculous story.

"... the family of the purported victim is speaking up and slamming the story as a political ploy.

Here is the quote from the sister from your own link:

“Even if it did happen, John probably wouldn’t have said anything,” she said. “If he were still alive today, he would be furious [about the story].”

She could be right--her brother may have been furious had he lived to see his name splashed across the media and had an embarassing incident in his past exposed. Who would enjoy that? It does nothing, however, to refute the story itself, as this quote ("even if it did happen...") shows.

Default brown shirts made original post?

Talk about brown shirts, the original post is right out of the play book of the classic despotic regime where character assasination is used in lieu of floating argument.

What about the rumor Obama messed in his diaper, once that gets out he'll never to able to rule the country.

You were, of course, incensed by the whole Swift Boat smear, right?

OH, OK, Let's forget that IT HAPPENED. We should pretend that mittens didn't tackle a poor gay guy and chop of his hair. Because the family doesn't wait to be in the spotlight??? Let me guess, Rush will tell his dittoheads to harass the family if they don't play ball.

It shows how he has no regard for other lives. He didn't stop to think for one moment about how cruel it is to put a dog on the roof, he didn't stop to think for one minute that he was taunting a boy day in and day out until he out and out assaulted him.
I agree and he still doesn't see the dog on the roof for the cruelty that it was. As for the assault of the boy, cutting off his hair, I dislike how Mitt tries to claim he doesn't remember doing it. Even after 50 years you remember your high school pranks because they get told over and over again---those crazy things we did back then.

Actually, it doesn't. The victim's older and younger sister both said they had no knowledge of the incident that went on at the all boys school---not surprising. They just say their brother was characterized inaccurately but refuse to elaborate. That could be they didn't thing he looked like a homosexual. The article offered nothing.

I feel sorry for the family, being put in the spotlight like this. They obviously didn't ask for any of this. And yes, I have no doubt they will be harassed by the right as a result.

Yep, right put of the birfers/swiftboaters' playbook, maybe???

Lol, your bogus outrage is noted, where were you when the birfers were inventing their nonsense???? I'm sure you raced in to stomp out that nonsense.

Of course, this is real and the birfer nonsense was always nonsense.

Sure, I can see where they wouldn't want their dead son/brother brought up this way; I probably wouldn't either.

It doesn't make the story less true, though.

Romney shows no remorse. He shows zero remorse over what he did to poor Seamus and he shows no remorse with that half ass apology yesterday ("IF it happened......).

Kind of explains why they've been parading Mrs. Mittens around out there, giggling about what a wild and crazy guy her old Mittens is. From what I understand, the Romney campaign has known this story was coming out for weeks.

You would have thought they could have scripted a more sincere apology than they did, though, with the amount of time they had to prepare.
