THIS is how America thrives and grows, with people like Mitt, willing to invest their money AND other people's money in good ideas, founded on free market principles.

I saw this ad earlier. I just wish they were showing it on TV in the same battleground states that the Obama campaign is running that awful anti-Bain, anti-capitalism ad in.

I guess this cancels out the thousands of jobs lost under Romney.

No, using taxpayers money is how it works for Mitt in this case. Bain was only one of eight investors.Bain put 18 million into the company. The GOVERNMENT put more than twice that amount funded by sales tax increases. This is a striking example of crony capitalism with government cozying up to private money bags. Bain walked away with 105 million five years later thanks to the government. Conservatives supposedly oppose this. The government picking winners, etc. Why would Romney bring it up? Doesn't he have any examples of where he made a difference without using tax payers money to do it?

You means thousands CREATED from Bain's investment. I'm sure you've shopped at a few of the companies Mitt helped get started? Sports Authority, Staples.....

I guess you haven't heard...Mitt was not at Bain at the time...but one of obama's BUNDLERS sure was, running the company that saw this steel mill go down.

Mitt was in SLC, saving the 2002 Winter Olympics.

It is a zero sum for Bain Investment. For every steel company they bought and built, there is another they bought and stripped down to the ground.
That is the was Investment companies work. They profit either way. All that differs is which they decide is worth further investment and which is not.

For every worker hired, there is another, somewhere else, who gets fired.

That is exactly the way Romney works. He will fire someone at the drop of a hat and never look back. Maybe that's good for business, but it's not so hot for governing sometimes, especially when it comes to Administration and advisors.
