I support Gary Johnson but the watermelon was a terrible idea. Not only is the ad stupid, why use a watermelon in a campaign ad when you are running against a black man. Why not go all out and put some fried chicken in there somewhere too.

Maybe that was the point, this is some kind of bizarre dog whistle to the people that actually enjoyed Ron Paul's racist newsletters.

The racist thing is totally crazy. From a "graphic effects" standpoint I can see what they were thinking, however, it simply doesn't work here imo.
