Mitt Romney made clear this week he won’t cut ties with Donald Trump, who is hosting a fundraiser for the candidate in Las Vegas on Tuesday, despite the real estate mogul’s claims the president was born in Kenya. Trump returned the favor by launching into yet another screeching birther diatribe on CNBC the morning of the event.

Romney is such a putz. Why would he align hmnself with Birfer Clown Trump???

You don't have to agree on every single thing with someone to accept their support. Trump has a right to think what he will. His ideas about Obama's birth certificate are far less offensive than many of the things some of Obama's supporters have said. Does Bill Maher ring a bell? And so many more it's silly for the left to even be whining about Trump.

The birther thing at this point is pure racism, plain and simple. No one can be that utterly retarded.

Aside from that is, someone like Maher, while he is an Obama supporter and has said some outrageous things is not a campaign surrogate, Trump is.

I wish Romney would distance himself more from Trump but hopefully he knows what he's doing. Trump is no more a "campaign surrogate" for Romney than Maher or Spike Lee are for Obama. Spike Lee tried to incite mob violence against Zimmerman, and said that he 'looks daggers' at any interracial couple he sees. Now talk about 'pure racism.' And Lee held a fundraiser for Obama earlier this year, and Obama showed up and had pics taken
Spike Lee Hosts President Obama Fundraiser, Tweets Photos & Commentary

So there's not a whole lot Obama supporters can really say about Romney accepting Trump's help.

Has Bill Maher accompanied Obama on the campaign trail and thrown a b'day party for Michelle Obama? Romney and the king of birthers seem to be as thick as thieves. Very strange for Romney to align himself with such a crackpot attention seeker and on the very same day that Trump goes off on another idiotic birther rant, Romney produces his birth certificate...

I think that he forgot that he needs the independents. Trump sure isn't going to help him there.

So are you saying Obama was the first birther? Here is a promotional booklet by Obama's literary agent from 1991 long before Obama ran for president. It was to promote his first book. This booklet stated Obama was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii for 16 long years and Obama never asked for it to be changed in all that time and he never sued the agent for publishing false information about him. That indicates he gave the information of his birth whereabouts to the agent personally.

RACISM??? That is so stupid and totally incorrect. The same attempts and accusations have been made against Mitt Romney, which are ridiculous and for that matter, Marco Rubio...both born on US soil. It has absolutely nothing to do with race, but nice try.

I have never seen this before. I don't usually pay much attention to the birther stuff, but this is quite interesting.
