The people of Wisconsin didn't like the smell of what you are shovelling here.

And they didn't buy it.

Take the hint.

Nope. But I think a Democrat governor recently (was it Pat Quinn? I forget, or my memory is fuzzy) said that service cuts will be needed and it will impact the public unions, but we didn't hear a peep about it from anyone. Maybe someone would care to correct me on that. But, I'm veyr positive that a lot of the Democrat voters on here would NEVER vote Republican, even if the Democrat was proposing cutting public union benefits and collective bargaining
The Rat governor in New York, Andrew Cuomo, did almost the exact same thing Scott Walker did, but the union bosses didn't say a peep about it.

Andrew Cuomo is one smooth operator. He's the current Velcro Governor.

Great post, and that's just human nature. Both sides do exactly the same thing.

Could you explain in simple terms what exactly he did that's made you think he hates the working man?

No. We The Taxpayers hate the moochers in the unions who usurp more pay and benefits than they would be eligible for, if they were working the same job in the private sector.

Las Vegas firefighters making $200,000, California lifeguards making $200,000, BART employees in San Francisco making $100,000, education administrators in CA retiring on ~$200,000/year, NY Port Authority cops making ~$100,000. Hell, in WI, bus drivers were making $100,000...do you think money grows on trees? It comes from OUR pockets, the hapless taxpayers who have to foot the bill for your exorbitant lifestyle through increased TAXES.

As unions grow, more people are forced into unions through forced dues, thus giving the union bosses more money to blow on elections to buy politicians who would keep the status quo running. With collective bargaining rights taken away, the unions can no longer hold the taxpayers hostage to fund their gravy trains. With union dues made voluntary, the unions will continue to erode membership because guess what? Not all workers want to be in the unions, and if it's between the $20/month unions dues vs. the cable bill, they are going to choose the latter.

I hope other Republican governors across the nation take a leaf out of Walker's playbook and destroy the unions. I want the unions gone..vamoose..dead. If any state would even hope to want to return to fiscal solvency, the first step is to kill the unions.

STOP MOOCHING OFF THE TAXPAYERS! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

signed,
An Angry Taxpayer

first off, the hero of the democrats, FDR, hated public employee unions, and NEVER wanted them to be formed.

second, walker only made a few changes to the union contracts and collective bargaining rules so that union members had to pay a bit more to their retirement and health care plans, which are still MORE valuable than private sector plans. and he made it possible for public employees to decide if they want to be union members or not.

so again, where is this hate for the working people from walker? and how is walker going to go after the private unions?

oh and by the way, property taxes in the state went DOWN during walkers tenure as governor. jobs have been created, and businesses are going back to the state. in all walker has been good for wisconson, and the people let him and the democrats know it yesterday.

The NY Times: Walker Survives Wisconsin Recall. Now the question is if Wisconsin will survive Walker. Wisconsin is where the Republican Party was born as an anti-slavery party. Now their big crusade is to destroy workers’ rights. Boy, have they ever come full circle!

It just goes to show you what $30 million and the right candidate can do. Heck, it shows you what $30 million and the worst candidate imaginable can do. Scott Walker won because of his huge cash advantage. He won because of Citizens United. This election shows that a bad decision by the Supreme Court can lead to bad decisions by voters. At least the voters have the excuse that their bad decision was the result of being deceived and misled. The Supreme Court made their bad decision all on their own.

I would expect nothing less from that crazy b****. I'm glad she went off the rails with outrageous lies - it means that the people are doing the right thing.
