The recession ended in June 2009 before any of Obama's policies took effect. His policies just made it the weakest recovery in 50 years.

30 job creation bills that have passed the house are still sitting in the senate, not being even voted on. No senate budget proposal in 3 1/2 years.
It is all about how you define "the private economy is doing fine".

Can you reference one or two that are job creation bills?

You know, that is definitely a fact. I was on here in 2008 and there is no comparison. They have definitely been dumbed down or something.

Eric Cantor || Majority Leader || Jobs Legislation Tracker
Here are all the bills Bob.

As if you didn't know 4 million new private sector jobs have been added but you ignore the 5 million that dropped out of the workforce. In addition here are Reagan and Clinton's numbers:
Reagan: Jan 81 to Dec 88, 16.3 million - inherited a weak economy
Clinton: Jan 93 to Dec. 2000, 22.8 million - inherited a strong economy
And those numbers were without stimulus and QE. Obama's recovery is feeble in comparison.
The stimulus did save many government union jobs for one year. Great. They are getting laid off now instead of a year earlier.

CAn you give us some ideas he has sent to the congress that has gone nowhere? What about the 2 years he had control of both houses? How about a balanced budget or even a budget that his own party will support? The only thing he has done, as I see it, is: my way or the highway. He absolutely will not cooperate with the other side on anything. :Probably the worse case of lack of working with congress I have seen in my 50 plus years of being an adult. If nothing else he has to learn to pick his battles and give in when oompromise can accomplish something. I have seen almost nore of that in 3 1/2 years.
