It takes a simple majority to pass a bill in the Senate. I did not say anything about filibusterer, debating, etc. How many times did a filibuster occur during that time, nice attempt at building a strawman. So the Dems could really pass anything they wanted during that whole 2 year time. No arguments about that.
Don't be childish, with very few exceptions, a bill cannot come to a vote in the senate without a vote to end debate. That my friend takes 60 votes.

oh sure there are racists that have glommed onto conservative groups.
there are also racists groups like the black panthers that have walked into polling places and intimidated people with clubs. these are racists.

I doubt you would be willing to accept that they represent liberalism.

spending bills are the exception I believe. Budget bills fall under that.

Lol, yes and no, not all votes on "spending" bills are equal. U.S. Senate: Legislation & Records Home > Votes > Roll Call Vote

And reconciliation, if there aren't changes in the underlying bill that the senate passed.

Point of order??? I'm thinking 60 votes.

But to say any bill can get thru the senate with less than 60 votes is foolish.

Scott "41" Brown would beg to differ.

Again with lies? First, New Black Panthers. And second no voters were ever intimidated. Third, they did not walk into polling places, they stood outside. Fourth, only one had a batton. Finally, they were there acting as security in their neighborhood. Black ppl protecting black ppl going to the polls to vote, and YOU call that racism? Really?

By that standard I'm wondering what you'd call those teabaggers that were showing up at Obama rallies with semi automatic weapons?? White guys packing heat at a black candidate's events, racists????

obama polls are still high vs republictards is because they are running romney the flip flopper or the obama clone

it was going to be an easy win IF the republictards actually tried to win.
excuse the language but their actions have been disgraceful.

and they are intentionally trying to lose.

Hmmm, so you are saying that the klan also represents liberalism? Since that are different sides of the same coin. Are you going to assume that because the New Black Panther Party are black that they represent liberalism meanwhile the klan which represent white self interest are conservative

Btw, you either should make a distinction between the New Black Panther Party and the original BBP that are totally different with different origins and goals.

Is he "uppity" because he is black and had the audacity to enter and win in the whiteman's game of politics? Do you even know the definition of a socialist? Apparently you do not or you would not be making such assinine parrot statements from your hero Palyin or bachupman. The man has repeatly said that he is a christian, I guess you and your ignorant ilk forgot that you all made him denounce his CHRISTIAN PASTOR, Rev Wright. So how can he be a muslim? Being born in Hawaii makes you a Kenyan? You are aware that Hawaii is a part of the United States, don't you? Hmm, gangstas don't go to Ivy league schools.

Part of it is that Obama put so many people on handouts. Everything from not having to pay income tax, to food stamps, ObamaPhones, to full welfare. These handout recipiants don't want to bite the hand that feeds them...literally.

Also, many Obama voters, especially young adults, are uninformed. They pay more attention to Kim Kardashian, Jersey Shore etc. than anything in the news.
