BTW, Cher aside, is that true that Mitt had to read off cue cards to say how sad he felt....?!!

I doubt she ever even got a GED. The woman can barely read. The fact that she is publically making this political shows her ignorance. Both men made appropriate statements that were sincere in my opinion.

What is up with The Politico? Are their ratings that bad lately? They're publishing comments by Cher like anyone cares. I would expect this from People magazine but not Politico.

Wow. You are just horrible. You hate those who disagree with you politically so much that you would say this?

I would never make a comment like this about what Obama said following this event. He made a very appropriate statement that seemed very sincere, as did Romney.

I repped the other lefties for their posts in this thread, except for HeyJude, who I tried to rep but couldn't because I've repped her? (or him...I think her) too recently.

I agree, some people put politics above common decency...very sad!

Both Obama and Romney were clearly reading from prepared notes in their respective remarks. I have done the same speaking at difficult times such as funerals of family and friends. I don't think it makes anyone less sincere.

Having said that, I would agree with Cher that Obama came across as more empathetic. He is a more empathetic acting person. That's just the way it is. Doesn't mean Romney doesn't care or was not being sincere. To be honest, Bill Clinton puts both of them to shame in the empathy (I feel your pain) department.

When did Cher become such a highly regarded spokesperson for the DNC?

Was she wearing clothes when she made the statement? Or did she have on one of the outfits that shows her bare rear end and pretty much everything?

Holy crap, I thought for sure Cher was dead by now! What is she like 95??

"What Cher says" rates right up there with "What The Donald says" for me, which is to say I couldn't care less.
