A strong indicator of one's intelligence is gauged by how many times they repeat the same mistake.

Are you voting for Obama again?

Romney tells Olympians essentially the same thing the racists attacked the President for saying:

Quote:
"You Olympians, however, know you didn't get here solely on your own power,” said Romney, who on Friday will attend the Opening Ceremonies of this year’s Summer Olympics. “For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. All Olympians stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We’ve already cheered the Olympians, let’s also cheer the parents, coaches, and communities. All right! [pumps fist].”

LOL. So since you don't deny that they said essentially the same thing, I see you've decided to go with the "I know you are, but what am I?!?" defense. Bold move.

From ABC News:
Quote:
Mitt Romney Olympic Archive Still Off-Limits

More than a decade has passed since Mitt Romney presided over the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, but the archival records from those games that were donated to the University of Utah to provide an unprecedented level of transparency about the historic event, remain off limits to the public. And some of the documents that may have shed the most light on Romney's stewardship of the Games were likely destroyed by Salt Lake Olympic officials, ABC News has learned.

No...what they said was completely different.

Romney rightfully said that athletes have their parents and coaches to thank...people who DIRECTLY made it possible for them to get to that level. He also said it in a nice way...like Tim Tebow thanks God.

Obama said what he said in a snide, petulant, and derogatory manner. That no business is successful without the government. Guess what.....government had NOTHING to do with their success!

If having a road or bridge in front of your business is all it takes to makes it a success, then EVERY business would be successful...they ALL have a road or bridge nearby!! Government didn't provide anything to the business that it didn't make possible because of TAXPAYERS.

By the way......if what Obama said is so correct and factual, then why is it that he is doing his damnedest to now parse it, claim it was taken out of context, or say people misunderstood him?

Because on can't take a snippet here and there and frame the speech. That's the definition of out-of-context.

Really? How old are you, five? Next are you gonna stamp your feet and whine that Obama is being mean to you?

Of course he didn't say that. He said that the government helps people be successful by providing roads and infrastructure and services such as fire and police protection. (You might want to actually listen to what he did say before making comments. You'll be amazed at how closely it dovetails with what Romney said. )

Ah, now you're starting to get it! Yes, the TAXPAYERS make it all possible by paying taxes to the government, who then provides the above mentioned services. See, I knew if you kept working at it you would eventually get there. Well done!

Reading comprehension needed:
Quote:
The President: The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.
