Under Obama & Romney, we're not guaranteed any rights at all. NDAA-100 years in prison for any American, no charges required. Patriot Act spying on all.
We can't even choose our medical treatment.

Please check out Gary Johnson. Abnormally honest. Kind. Smart. Cares about the 100% equally. He favors a return of what used to be our Constitutional freedoms before corporations purchased govt. He goes into some detail on his positions & what the benefits would be. He was much beloved guv of NM for 8 years. "Governor Veto" saved them millions. He would end IRS, Dept of Educ. Income tax replaced by National sales tax of 23% with exemptions likely for business to business, used items, poor, most foods.

Legalize & tax cannabis 100% which would make it 90% cheaper as a legal product & renewed industry.
Double digit billions from tax, plus $40+B a year saved by ending drug war. Hemp products made in USA would of course be legal again.

43% cut in all Federal programs & depts, for balanced budget 1st year & no more borrowing.

He's on most of the polls now & hopes to be in debates, despite those in power doing just about anything to keep him out. He will be a speaker at Paul Fest in Tampa, just prior to the RNC.

Gary Johnson says let's try a 1 time experiment. Elect him & if people don't like the peace, prosperity, & freedom, we can vote to return to tyranny 4 years later.

Of course there are many Constitution-haters in Congress that need voting out & in state legislatures.
The more of those that get voted out, the easier it will be to experience true freedom.
I will be voting for Johnson. Realistically the winner will be Romney or Obama and Romney is probably the lesser evil.

What does Romney want? Why is he running? He doesn't seem to have any overarching ambition to do much of anything but hold the office. It's like he just wants it to put a big, bright period to his life's resume'.

In fact, he reminds me very much of Lamar Alexander. He ran for President several times and just wanted the office too badly to be trustworthy. He too didn't want to be President for any recognizable reason than to...well...be President.
You have it wrong, not surprising. Mitt is motivated by selfless love for country. He could easily enjoy his millions and family and not put himself through these attacks. Obama is motivated by narcissism and ego.

I tend to agree, although I think Obama is more motivated by foolish socialist idealism. I think Romney is commited to sacrificing a life of ease out of love for his country.

I see...

That must explain why back in the 60s, he was a strong supporter of the Vietnam War, but instead of serving America, he opted to go on a posh mormon mission to France for three years.

None of Romney's five healthy service-age sons have a single day of military service between them, either. Yet he talks of military action against Iran. No doubt it's easier putting other families at risk of death and injury while your own is safe and sound. It's just more of the morally and politically corrupt neocon slop that ruined the Bush/Cheney tenure.

Possibly. That's simply your opinion based on your partisan bias and slanted perspective.

Evidence, please. You've got an opinion on the subject, but what do you base that on? What has either man said or done to make you come to such conclusions?

He wants to cut corporate tax rates so his uber wealthy CEO friends have even more money to buy private jets and homes across the world. All in the name of "jobs", the carrot he dangles to the US Citizens. Though these companies will continue to add new jobs in other countries like China and India, while thye close down operations in the USA.

He wants to cut safety and environmental regulations of corporations so his uber wealthy CEO friends can make a bigger profit, and faster and easier, even if this means injured workers and ill-effects on surrounding communities. Even though the companies will still continue to ship jobs offshore.

He wants to make sure companies still have an easy time shipping American jobs overseas. Where Obama wants to give breaks to companies that keep jobs in the USA. Not Romney. He doesn't care about the citizens. He only cares about corporations. And that is why is is running, IMO. To hand the country over to big corporations.

Just another Super Patriot, Chickenhawk, Republican family. They're what Thomas Paine called Sunshine Patriots.

There are more ways to show love of country then wearing a military uniform btw when and where did Obama serve?
