Just a few days ago, they moved him up to 265 electoral votes. Today, he's up to 281. This marks the first date that TPM has projected a winner in the presidential election.

TPM Electoral Scoreboard

With this projection, Romney can win Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado - and still lose the election.

Um, showing the electorial votes now, isnt a prediction of the winner. It just shows the current count. The election isnt today.

Yep, this one is over. Four more years is all but a certainty.

I know that. The point remains that this is the first time TPM has given either candidate enough votes on their scoreboard to win the election.

And the word is electoral - not electorial. Just trying to help you sound more intelligent.

That's great and I'm happy about it, but I don't want to get complacent. A lot can happen between now and November.

An admirable, but ultimately futile effort.

I shudder to think of all the moronic polls we're gonna have to suffer through before November finally gets here.

It's as repulsive as spam email. And about as worthy as spam email from Nigeria.

If you wanted people to sound more intelligent, you wouldnt say that they are predicting a win in November. Obamas had the electoral vote locked up for awhile now. Is this news to you?

I'm still waiting for you to tell me where the land came from, in order to build roads..

It seems me expecting you to respond is admirable, but ultimately futile..

Touche

We all know that he can perform miracles. He'll need a giant one this year. I can't wait to see what the DNC and his election wolves come up with. I do know it'll be dirty as hell... oops

Not to mention...it's laughable that they are giving states to Obama when he is consistently below 50% in them and his approval in these states is in the mid 40's. His approval is in the mid to upper 40's.

I made a thread about Obama's poor approval in the battleground states:

Obama approval in battleground states

They give a state to a candidate when they're leading in the poll average in that state by 2 points....even if they're an incumbent who most likely needs their approval to come up fairly significantly to win the state.
