It is not even as racist as congress having a "Black Caucus" because all the Maxine Waters race baiting types say America doesn't understand black issues.

If Maxine Waters can say white Americans do not understand Black America, then a Romney aid can say Obama doesn't understand Anglo Saxon heritage.

As for an additional thought, I think Obama DOES understand Anglo Saxon heritage and I think he dislikes it. Otherwise, please explain why the Winston Churchill bust was immediately returned to the UK when Obama moved into the White House?
So Obama hates Anglo-Saxons so much, he takes down a bust of one (Churchill) to replace it w/ another (Lincoln)?

who said he was uniquely unable to do this?

or was that just something you made up?

Who was the last Democratic president or nominee that the GOP didn't pin the foreign or exotic label on? Harry Truman?

It's what they do. Then they wonder why the Democrats resemble the Festivus Party.

This is at least as verifiable as Obama's 200 million dollar trip to India. In other words, It's unsubstantiated crap.

I think the title of this thread needs to changed to "Democrats Grasping at Straws."

Maybe Obama is ungrateful after being baptized an honorary Anglo Saxon? After all he is their new front man...seeing that some Anglos had such a bad reputation for hoarding wealth that they knew a white face would never get elected...Obama is the hired gun for fat white rich AMERICA- who play the right against the left and vise versa.

Hence the British empire of course things didn't run smoothly but I'd argue it was better than anything else at the time and was a net benefit to humanity.

French culture, in particular after the revolution, was more geared to the collective, the community, liberty, equality etc. All well and good. I'd argue Obama subscribes more to do this line of thinking than than the traditonal Anglo model. Nothing inherently wrong with that just a differing opinion.

To notice it or call Obama on it is not racist. Anglo Saxon is not an inherently racist word, it's a culture or name of one of the main Germanic tribes of Britain.
Oh geez, here we go again, torturing (sorry, "waterboarding") history to fit revisionist neo-con ideology (which apparently objects to the same French Enlightenment that inspired the Founding Fathers). Not to mention that little matter of the American Revolution and French aid... you know, getting free of Brit. oppression and all that.

Besides, even English labor Laws are some of the oldest around, and English Trade Unions have been in existence at least since 1867, when a Royal Commission agreed that the establishment of the organisations was to the advantage of both employers and employees. And BTW, where do you think the expression, "being on the dole" originated (hint: it was first instituted in 1911, well before the New Deal, or even French welfare, which didnt begin until 1930)!

And speaking of "France", isnt it interesting that Romney seems to have way more "French Connections" than Obama, or than most other Americans for that matter (OK Mitt, now how do you say "pass the Freedom Fries" in French...)!

First of all its a racist comment and has the adviser forgotten Obama's mother was white? or does he believe in the "one drop" rule. You know if you have any black blood in you, you are black. Most African-Americans today have white ancestors due to slave masters raping black slaves.

"an adviser to the campaign made comments suggesting the Republican presidential candidate's commitment to rebuilding the so-called "special relationship" between England and the United States has to do with a sense of "Anglo-Saxon heritage."

"We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special," "The White House didn't fully appreciate the shared history we have."

the adviser suggested that Mr. Obama could not understand the depth of the relationship between the two countries because he cannot fully appreciate the shared "Anglo-Saxon heritage."

Why bother? The "anglo-saxon" heritage wouldn't accept him anyway as white anyway. Being Bi-racial is really hard for people, caught between two cultures that may or may not acknowledge their kinship. Its easier to identify with the part of you that get's persecuted every day. Sometimes if feels like America is still stuck in the One Drop rule era, where it doesn't matter how much of your heritage is African: if there is any at all, you might as well have the complexion of a Masai Warrior and therefore should be characterized as "other" to good ol' Occidental America. If his black half is the part he feels like he needs to defend himself against in regards to how society treats him...once again, why bother? White people have a social agency that others don't and Obama has never benefitted from that.

Being of mixed heritage is a constant battle to find yourself amid two very different and contrasting cultures, always questioning where they are in that spectrum between Black and White. For some, Identity is a struggle and in the end, the only thing they can say at the end of the day is "I am an American." And he is. None of this brainless birther crap would ever happen to a white candidate or Politician.
