Political philosphy aside, McCain is a good person. He has a lot of credibility and would appeal to more moderates.

Had it not been for his decision to choose the idiot Palin for VP, he may have won the prior election.

McCain is a good man. I wish there were more Congressmen like him. I don't agree on most of his political stances, but I don't doubt his integrity. It is amazing that he gets elected in Arizona.

Yep. I can agree with this, although I didn't agree with everything he said. His choice of Palin was fail of epic proportions. I thought if he died, she'd be in charge and she was a twit. I wish he would have picked someone else. I think we would be in better shape. (For the long term, not the short.)

Yeah, I don't have a problem with him either. I'm glad there are people like him in Congress. He is, by most standards, an American hero.

McCain is a good man, with a good history and a politician who can form a coalition and get things done in Washington. He is also my neighbor and is a genuine good person from personal experience over many years. I've worked with the McCain team many times over the years. Most recently when he set up the McCain foundation in conjunction with Arizona State University. There were more top deck Republicans in Sedona, Az than in Washington that weekend. That being said, he's too old to handle the strain of Secretary of State or VP.
Let him continue to represent Arizona in the Nation's business and remain in his rightful place as an honorable elder statesman.

Hint. Anyone who lives within 5 miles of you on the same road in rural Arizona is considered a neighbor.

I don't think so. People who have actually been in war are not in a hurry to rush back into it.
