RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - Texas Senate - Republican Primary Runoff

So I guess they are pretty accurate then.

What caused such a huge swing in the spread? Dewhurst was up big in May.

This was a primary election. Major thread fail.

BTW - Nate Silver, who most of you all love and trust, has said they're biased this election cycle - much more biased than Rasmussen.

Well palin and santorum came there I heard. Not that it would impress me actually the opposite is true, but this was a GOP run off so I guess that mattered.

The alert sounds when I post about polls. How does it sound?

I voted for Dewhurst in May but now support Cruz.

Dewhurst got extremely negative in the runoff and hurt himself. Obama will do the same since he has no good record to run on, just negatives.

Thanks. I knew it had to more than Palin's support. Guess staying positive does have it's merits. Hope other politicians are paying attention.

Cruz had been gaining in recognition and support even before the initial Primary vote. He spent far less than Dewhurst and planned for a runoff in which he again planned to continue gaining in recognition and support. I had been aware of Cruz long before his entry into the candidacy.

I voted for Cruz on the first day of early voting in the Primary and again on the first day of the runoff vote. Before any out of state politicos come to town... at least to my knowledge.

I would think Palin supports my view more than my vote might have reflected Palin's endorsement.

Only in the last few days did Dewhurst run ads that told us who he is and what he believes. Prior to that it was pure anti-Cruz and pretty down & dirty (and nasty)

I do believe Texans are hard headed and independent enough we don't appreciate the negativity, could see through the garbage and made a serious point. That's why even we would not have voted for Rick Perry. He's worn out his welcome and time to move on.

We all need fresh faces in DC, starting at the very top.

I don't think Palin carries enough weight here to really make a difference by who she supports. Not saying anything bad about her, just that she's a non factor to most of us. (or a negative)
