You all say it worked ("predictably mildly positive results' -- if it was so predictable, he should have known that!) but it didn't work. It went to support buddies and favorite green projects that went bust - bankruptcies which the administration knew were likely - GE, cars in Finland and you name it. How many GM people did Obama put out of work? And he wants to do it all over again?

Now, what was your definition of insanity?
First, as Zimar has said, the meme that the stimulus went to friends was debunked (and is also stupid.) It's been shown again and again by private economists and the CBO that the stimulus worked. However, since the economy dropped by 6%, a $788 billion stimulus, spread over two years, with 40% tax-cuts, wasn't doing to undo the downdraft.

Second, the OP said "Obama Promised Unemployment Rate at 5.2% After Stimulus…" Obama never made such a promise. If you disagree, find the quote.

You can thank the GOP open policy of obstruction.

While that was true, there still was no promise.

Isn't this excuse number 373 or some such? No, when you are an amateurin running things, anything, then you can't possibly know. That is the truth. Then, Mr Obama compounded his inexperience, lack of financial education and experience, by hiring Ivy Towered academics and ideologues.

Everyone knew we were losing jobs at a pretty rapid pace during that time, however the loss of 2.2 million jobs during the last three months of the Bush administration was on no one's radar.

Not at all. There wasn't an economist in the world who knew to what extent the economy fell. Not one.

You also seem to think hiring smart people in their field is somehow a negative. If I were to be prez. I'd try to hire the best and brightest like JFK did.

Find one person of either party, or and economist of any kind, that was predicting a job loss of 2.2 million during the last three months of the Bush administration, find one.....

Everyone from both sides of the aisle and economists knew things were getting bad, NO ONE was predicting the epic collapse of 700-800k job losses per month. Not any Democrats, not any Republicans, not any Independents, not any Economists no matter what side of the ideological spectrum were predicting the collapse of late 2008 to be as severe as what it was.

You guys sure are running & backtracking from all the rosy predictions that Chicago empty suit spoon fed you.

This administration is a massive flop because they employed policies that were doomed to fail from the outset.
It's sad that so many of you will continue to vote for such a demonstrably incompetent failtrain.

Deficit spending at triple the rate of the previous administration is NOT a winning proposition.
