OUTRAGEOUS! A state beach, frequented by thousands of residents, forced to close so he can use it as his own personal helicopter base to shuttle his millionaires and billionaires too and fro.

Sherwood Island shutdown linked to Obama visit - Connecticut Post

Quote:
The popular Sherwood Island State Park in Westport will be closed Monday because President Barack Obama plans to use it as a helicopter base for his nearby campaign-fundraising stops.

At the height of the summer vacation and beach season, the 238-acre beach on Long Island Sound will be shut down all day so the president can use the park to arrive for and depart from private, high-roller fundraising events, culminating with a $35,800-a-head gathering for the glitterati at movie mogul Harvey Weinstein's waterfront Westport manse.
My God, this arrogant POgarbage has no shame.

As an aside, PPP(democrat pollster) had Romney winning CT Indies by 2. This should put even more of them in his column.

Seems all the officials involved have so far refused to talk about this outrage.

Oh yes, we can imagine if a republican president were to do such a thing.

And to think, people actually believes this guy cares about them.

Hmm, will the citizens get a tax credit of some kind, since that beech is likely funded by their tax dollars?

Just another small crime committed by this perpetual criminal. He knows no boundaries, he cannot be reasoned with... Whatever you do, do not look into his eyes, for the pit of hell are known to be hazardous to the retina.

No, but it will COST the taxpayers a pretty penny as they lose revenue for that day.

He could care less.

The state should charge his campaign $40,000 each to use the park for a heliport.

Who cares. Hell probably make an executive order to absorb the Fed's printing press and pay whatever you ask. This guy is out for blood this election. It's best not to get in his path or question his authority. The name Obama will be a scorn upon this earth, and the very mention of such will be enough to bring grown men to tears. The only recovery to occur will be of that of burying this name deep in the backpages of the history books, a dark chapter that will serve as a grim reminder for future generations to come... We will all be stronger for surviving his rein of terror, but forever haunted by his legacy.

When he was here, he closed down major bridges. Traffic was backed up for hours. My SIL was stuck in this traffic and was out of her mind, since she had to endure this in both directions. She went off about the traffic and how many hours she sat there not moving. We just smiled and said "you should have been happy, your man was in town, after all you voted for him. This is only one of many inconveniences this man has put on us". She didn't like that at all. But we thought it was funny.

And you think that when a Republican president visits a city, this doesn't happen? Sure, they forego all the heavy Secret Service security for them... they just travel coach / yellow taxi and protect themselves with a six-shooter.

With that said, I think this is a bad move by Obama - good chance it could hurt him more than help.
