Obama had control of both houses of congress for 2 years. Just over 60% control in the House of Reps and 60 or 59 of the 100 Senators depending on before or after Kennedy's death - with Biden holding the tie breaker and 2 independents that vote like Democrats.

During this time Obama broke many promises and continued down the path of irrational budgets.

Actually Obama accomplished a number of things he set out to do during his four years, it's just that Republicans chose to ignore those things and pretend like he hasn't done anything because he didn't spend four years doing the Republican bidding like what they have been use to with Bush.

Reversed the policy of barring media coverage during the return of fallen soldiers to Dover Air Force Base (Under new guidelines, the media are allowed access to the ceremonies, but only with the permission of the dead soldiers' family members.)

Launched recovery.gov to track spending from the Recovery Act, providing transparency and allowing the public to report fraud, waste, or abuse Recovery.gov - Tracking the Money (just in case you want to see where that stimulus money went, that you think has been given away because that is what Fox News keeps telling you.)

Signed the Children's Health Insurance Reauthorization Act, which provides health care to 11 million kids -- 4 million of whom were previously uninsured

Issued executive order to repeal Bush era restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research (can we say, possibly finding a way to cure cancer, thanks Obama!)

Developed stimulus package, which includes approx. $18 billion for nondefense scientific research and development (that is a good chunk of change for American innovators.

Ended Bush administration's CIA program of 'enhanced interrogation methods' by requiring that the Army field manual be used as the guide for terrorism interrogations

Established Credit Card Bill of Rights, preventing credit card companies from imposing arbitrary rate increases on customers (but Republicans fought this one, so now credit cards have to tell you when and how they are gonna ********* over. Thanks Republicans.)

Health Care Reform Bill, preventing insurance companies from denying insurance because of a pre-existing condition (because pre-existing condition shouldn't even be a word the insurance companies are allowed to use.)

Health Care Reform Bill, allowing children to remain covered by their parents' insurance until the age of 26 (because anyone who has lived through their 20s will point out how hard it is to have insurance, unless you go to college and your college has a great program.)

Tax cuts for up to 3.5 million small businesses to help pay for employee health care coverage (because Republicans blocked the public option that would of taken healthcare out of the job force that would of made it easier for small businesses to start up.)

Tax credits for up to 29 million individuals to help pay for health insurance

Expansion of Medicaid to all individuals under age 65 with incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level

Require health insurance plans to disclose how much of the premium actually goes to patient care (that is so insurance companies can't ********* over behind your back, they have to show you how they are doing it.)

Added 4.6 billion USD to the Veterans Administration budget to recruit and retain more mental health professionals (to help those that have come back from these pointless wars with mental health problems.)

Significantly increased funding for the Violence Against Women Act

Lifted restrictions granting Cuban Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send remittances to the island (which has been a gift to any Cuban American who hasn't been able to communicate or visit their extended family in Cuba.)

Eliminated subsidies to private lender middlemen of student loans and protect student borrowers (so that students get more money for college.)

Increased funding for national parks and forests by 10% (remember that one the next time you visit one of our amazing national parks.)

Significantly expanded Pell grants, which help low-income students pay for college (so that more students can go to college and try to get ahead in this country.)

Expanded hate crime law in the US to include sexual orientation through the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act

Provided stimulus funding to boost private sector spaceflight programs (you know when you hear about these private companies talk about space exploration, it started because of the government...or if you would like, another way the government has been able to help create jobs in the private sector.)

Appointed nation's first Chief Technology Officer (because technology is important and it is important for our country to expand on technology.)

Signed financial reform law establishing a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to look out for the interests of everyday Americans

Signed financial reform law requiring lenders to verify applicants' credit history, income, and employment status (which could prevent another housing bubble from happening when lenders would simply loan money away regardless if the person they were lending to could afford it or not.)

Cut prescription drug cost for medicare recipients by 50% (Obama says "you're welcome America's elderly.")

Provided $12.2 Billion in new funding for Individuals With Disabilities Education Act

Extended Benefits to same-sex partners of federal employees

Appointed more openly gay officials than any other president in US history

Created more private sector jobs in 2010 than during entire Bush years

Appointed first Latina to the US Supreme Court

Promoted social responsibility through creation of serve.gov, a national database of volunteer opportunities (making it easier to volunteer in America...that is called doing good for America.)

Reversed 'global gag rule', allowing US aid to go to organizations regardless of whether they provide abortions

Signed the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, giving the FDA the authority to regulate the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of tobacco for the first time

Wow, what a list, I guess Obama has been busy in four years....not like the Cons' media sources will ever mention that or tell the Cons the truth about what Obama has done as president.

Obama gave people the impression that he would get troops out of Iraq quicker - what we got was Obama following Bush's timeline to Iraq.

We all know that if Obama ran on following Bush's Iraq Withdrawal plan Hillary would have beat him in the primary.

LOL. While giving a million work permits to people in this country illegally while unemployment is thru the roof... And bypassing Congress which had repeatedly voted NO on his amnesty plans. Obama does as he pleases.

Democrats have no room to talk about dear.

Obama has done nothing but sh*t all over the hard working citizens and legal residents all over this country.

I like how all of you Obama fans like to list his accomplishments such as free healthcare yadda yadda yadda.

But who is paying for it? Is the money falling from the sky?

Why Obama has failed...

-The four biggest annual deficits in US History. Has added more debt in 3.5 years than Bush in 8. Obama called Bush unpatriotic for not getting the debt under control...so what is Obama then?

-Broke promise on posting all non-emergency bills online with time for public discussion, he broke this multiple times in his first month showing that he never had an intention to keep this promise.

-Broke promise to cut earmarks back to 1994 levels by veto if necessary.

-Broke promise to go line by line in the budget to remove waste.

-Broke promise to end no big government contracts for over $25,000.

-Broke promise to keep lobbyists out of White House and has had more than Bush who he blasted for having some.

-Obama's pay roll tax is regressive and favors the rich, as the reduction is paid back with middle and lower income earners who use Fannie and Freddie.

-First time ever Social Security can not claim that it funds itself with no outside funding.

-Social Security and SS Disability is becoming more insolvent and Obama lacks the courage to be an adult on the issue.

-Obama promised transparency, gave us the least amount of public questioning time of any president since Depression.

-Obama said it was illegal for president to act militarily with congressional consent unless direct immediate threat - has broken this.

What the heck has Obama done so far?

I know the haters will reject anything positive that's said about Obama, but too damn bad. They can go suck a lemon.
