Speaking of morons, I find it interesting that you are riding on the sac of someone who was governor of a state but yet never mentions it, his whole campaign is to dismantle healthcare (with no clue what to replace it with), preserve the tax cuts for the wealthy (self serving) and to go to war with Iran (puts money in his friend's pockets) and oh yeah do anything that Obama is for regardless if it helps or not.

It's bribery plain and simple. All direct cash campaign donations need to be outlawed and elections need to be 100% public financed. Until then the bribery and corruption will continue.

Ten million to a multi-billionaire might mean less in terms of sacrifice than a $250 donation to Obama made by a family earning $40,000. I wonder what they expect in return....?

That's right! Add on to the fact that foreign companies can contribute to campaigns (which is legal btw) without any disclosure. Why the American people think that this is ok I have no idea

If the OP is so concerned about the donations of billionares corrupting our government leaders then why isn't he visibly supporting Ron Paul on these forums instead of only attacking Romney and not Obama?

How's that hypocrisy working for the OP?
I wonder what Bill Mayer (spelling) and George Cloony ) expects?

One aspect of a Super PAC is that extremely rich people from around the world can funnel money through a Super PAC to support a candidate and nobody knows who they are or what country they’re from. They can and do funnel literally millions per individual, or per corporation, or any other kind of group, into these secret PACs.

You can bet the candidates do know who is contributing to their candidacy by purchasing ads, commercials, and mailers that tout the candidate to the voting public. These rich guys don’t hand over millions in one electronic transfer just for the fun of it. They want something in return. In order to be sure they get something in return, the candidate must know where the money came from. Does that make sense?
Yes-

The "return" is a better economy and a better US. That is like asking whether a millionaire would give $10K to Romney- of course.

Obama is costing every citizen in the US quite a bit of money. Investing in Romney makes sense for everyone. Perhaps even liberals should donate to Romney, as they would have higher incomes, higher savings, and higher employment as a result.

It just makes good financial sense. Likewise, if you are a bum or welfare recipient, it makes sense to vote for Obama, as he will continue to provide you money for nothing, to the detriment of the nation.

Hey, you're the first layperson I've heard who actually likes SuperPACs.

Tax cuts for the rich is a good start for him. His trickle up economics should be pretty attractive to the filthy rich.
