The Republicans are not going to allow another Palin. Any VP who is more charismatic than Mitt is not going to be considered this time.

And Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan. I heard both of them speak, and you can cut that one in stone.

There personal demeanors should have not been more different. Reagan radiated joy, and it was easy to see there was no other place he would rather be than right where he was, pumping up a crowd of supporters.
Mitt, on the other hand, was wooden, stiff, seemed to be very uncomfortable, and looked like he couldn't wait to get off the stage. Reagan's smile was genuine. Romney's was more like a rictus of fear than of joy. It was almost a grimace.

He debated Hillary Clinton twenty times and John McCain three times. He seemed to come out of those pretty well.

Obama is no John Kerry.

That is just the partisan blinders and Fox News propaganda talking. Anyone that suggests Obama does not have formidable talents when it comes to political rhetoric is just too biased to engage in a serious discussion.

You are like the Democrats that hated Bush so much that they couldn't even admit that he was a charming guy with a likable personality.

Do they kick you out of the Team Red fan club if you say anything good about President Obama?

Ok so Romney's state was Massachusetts...yes? so with a 15 point lead... wouldn't the normal mind wonder what they know that these other states don't?

I'm not trying to be mean but it seems if you can't carry your own there must be a real issue. It's not like it is even a close race there.

....things that make ya go hmmm

Romney was not well loved in Mass. and it's still a bluer than blue state.

Anyone who thinks Obama can't debate (without a teleprompter )is being willfully ignorant. The guy can orate, and he's a known quantity with a number of talking-point-ready accomplishments. I think he's going to destroy Romney in the debates (if Romney even gets there).

Plus, as Rick Santorum pointed out, Romney can't even beat up Obama on the one thing the GOP might get some traction on, RoBomneyCare.

Well, THAT narrows the field. If this is the criteria, Romney is screwed. Is there really anybody who is less charismatic than Mitt?

Yup. Portman is so un-charismatic that he's next to invisible. Too bad he just turned the job down, because he would have been perfect.

I vividly remember seeing McCain signs in October 2008 that had Sarah Palin up top, with McCain's name below hers. They were unofficial, of course, but they closely resembled the real campaign signs, and they were selling like hotcakes. There's no way the RCC will permit that to happen again.

Yup. My point exactly. And Obama will not allow himself to be swift boated. The Republicans aren't used to a Democrat who fights back aggressively, but their easy skates to the White House are over.

Yes, the President should relax, cancel his costly attack ads and spend the money on a bigger than ever in history inauguration blow out.
