Arpaio is now facing charges that he & his department ignored or did very little in pursuing over 400 reported rapes where the victims all agreed to submit to rape kits for evidence. Joe was too busy hassling Hispanics, legal or not, to do anything about the rapes.
More wonderful news for the citizens of Maricopa County; when all those neglected rapes star hitting civil courts, the damage awards are going to run into the millions (or tens of millions) easily, but Joe just shrugged the whole thing off when cornered for an interview.
Will this be the end of Sheriff Joe? I doubt it, at least until the bills come due.
