I don't want him re-elected but Obama will win because of the multitude of freebie recipients (many undeservedly so) who want to secure receiving it for at least 4 more years.

Funny that someone from NC would say this...

Romney is ahead in most NC polls and NC is considered a swing state.

Let's take a look at Obama's approval state by state....

Thirteen States and D.C. Give Obama Majority Approval

Obama may very well win but, if he does, that won't be why. It will be because his approval comes up to 50% (likely because of significantly better economic news, which I don't expect) or it will be because he has been the first incumbent president to be able to run ahead of his approval and win....I think perhaps ever. This is why he's been trying to paint Romney as evil. He may have a slight lead over Romney, but he's still under 50% and not able to get hardly anyone who doesn't approve of his job performance to say they'll vote for him.

I predict ads about how the Ryan plan would "throw Granny off a cliff" will be played three times an hour on all the local channels in all the battleground state markets within a week. I love Paul Ryan, but I think he was a terrible VP pick for Romney. We'll see how it turns out. We will see if this strategy works. After the convention, there will likely be three anti-Obama/pro-Romney ads for every one anti-Romney/anti-Ryan/pro-Obama ad, so the efforts of the Obama campaign and pro-Obama Super PAC's may be appropriately counteracted and not able to have that much of an effect.

Gallup polls daily and reports its approval rating poll results as 3-day rolling averages. Often times a dip (or rise) in approval ratings is just statistical noise. In this instance, it wouldn't seem to be the case. Obama was at 43% approval not only according to their Friday release, but also their Saturday and Sunday releases.
