Well now, that is the debate. How much government do we want? Do you want a "You didn't build that!" vision, or something, less intrusive, less controlling, less interfering? Those lesses, do not prevent a legitimate role in providing safety nets. What we have, where we are now, if much different. No thanks.
You can have less government but you have to realize that the downside is that the upper tier will have more power, more wealth, more control. And in that world of bullies, you won't get more freedom.
Hoover. Very successful in the private sector, very good with numbers, failed to stop the depression.
Private sector success does not equal political success.
It can help, but its not as important as other things.
The above in bold is exactly why Romney would be a disaster for America!
Quote:
George W. Bush, whose sweetheart deal with the Texas Rangers made him a multimillionaire, and Herbert Hoover, who came by his mining fortune honestly — were ranked among the worst presidents ever by the same historians. Bush left the country in a sea of debt and an economic crisis rivaled only by the one that engulfed Hoover.
Picking Paul Ryan is another example of the Republican Party being too extreme! They did it with Sarah Palin in 2008.
The Republican Party had the chance to change some of its stances and try to widen its appeal to the broad voting base. However, the party is still dying and out of fresh ideas.
I was hoping for Romney to pick anyone other than Ryan and Pawlenty. IMHO, Rob Portman would be an ideal choice with him being from the battleground state of Ohio plus he could be a great advantage once Americans get to know him better. Heck, Ryan has never won a statewide office in Wisconsin.
The Obama Camp and the Democrats are probably celebrating right now with 25 different attack ads being prepared about the Ryan Budget Plan!
Yep. They are going to wrap that wackadoodle plan so tightly around Romney's neck it will strangle him. It's over.
LMAO Disaster? What the hell are you talking about? The guy on your side in Ryans spot is friggin Biden. I dont need to say more than that. BIDEN!!! lol
VP picks don't win elections. But they sure can help lose them.
Now just a frickin' minute, bub! Don't go around putting words in my mouth. Obama worked for a law firm and taught at the U of Chicago. What'd Ryan do? What's his background? Can we see his long-form birth certificate?
Obama never taught at U of Chicago, he gave a few lectures, and as for him working for a law firm, do you want to point out to me what cases he worked on?
Has he ever won a statewide election in Wisconsin?
Perhaps you are unaware of how Congressional elections work. See, there are these things called districts, and each district has a Congressman. Paul Ryan has been elected numerous times in his district, which includes Janesville, WI. Home of the nearest Panda Express relative to my location.
Obama never taught at U of Chicago, he gave a few lectures, and as for him working for a law firm, do you want to point out to me what cases he worked on?
Obama, Reid, Bernanke & Pelosi don't give a flying bleep about seniors, and the 'war' against seniors and everybody else which Obama launched upon taking office continues to roll on unabated with nonstop cheerleading from the liberal media.
ObamaCare will be a disaster for seniors and everybody else, but good luck getting anybody at MSNBC, ABC, CBS or NBC telling you the truth about that.
His 'You didn't build that' remark continues to alienate millions of US citizens daily.
