Default Who is Paul Ryan?

Just saw this on CBS news and thought it was worth sharing. I know the VP pick doesn't make a lot of difference, but doesn't hurt to learn all we can about the candidate.........

Who is Paul Ryan? He's the got with the plan for America that attacks the weakest of all Americans the seniors and disabled. This guy has a plan that if instituted will put seniors in hospices on the street to die. It will have many more seniors eating dog food when they can afford it. Ryan wants to end Medicare and Medicaid. His proposal was to give every senior a voucher so they could buy their own insurance in place of Medicare. One of the major problems with that is the insurance companies do not have to insure an individual and they will not insure those with pre-existing conditions. Most seniors have pre-existing conditions of one sort or another. Without medical insurance no medical facility will accept a patient unless they prepay. In the case of an emergency hospitals are only required to stabilize a patient and do not have to treat that patient. Ryan and Romney both want to end Social Security. One thing you can count on is if elected they will try to privatize Social Security at the very least. Seniors can expect a reduction in benefits and possibly and end to benefits as we now know them. Medicaid would become a thing of the past. Romney promised before the NAACP to end all government programs he could. Teamed up with Ryan you can count on an out and out war on Social Security and Medicare.

Lives in a well-to-do part of town in Wisconsin, owns a ranch in TX...... and he hunts catfish with his bare hands?! Hmmm... sounds like someone has already been chatting with the Marketing and PR folks lately.

I'm surprised they also didn't mention how Ryan is "famous" for this, just last year...

Hey Joe Biden, you idiot moron - be afraid, be very afraid of Paul Ryan. You think you've looked stupid over the past 3.5 years - wait 'til Paul Ryan gets a hold of you. It'll be fun to watch!

Interesting! From your article........

Quote:
“The only reason this race in a red district, that John McCain won, was even competitive was because of the rejection—especially by seniors—of the Republican budget that ends Medicare,” explained Vale. “This is not just our take, it is demonstrated by Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty refusing to clearly say if they will support a plan that even Newt Gingrich called ‘radical’ and ‘right-wing social engineering.’ It is why a growing number of Republican Senators will be voting against it this week. The message the people in NY-26 sent tonight was loud and clear—hands off our Medicare.”
