I have to ask: When your family is facing bankruptcy, do you go out and spend, spend, spend, or do you tighten the purse strings?

I think I know the answer.

Those who use Ryan as an excuse to not vote for Romney weren't going to vote for him, anyway.

Clue: Ryan has a budget. OBoy does not and never has had one, even when dems controlled the house and senate.

Only if they're drinking the cyanide-laced kookaid.

That translates to a lot of votes. Realize this. Millions of voters (Tons of Florida voters and tons Republicans don't want Medicare messed with) who likely would lean toward Romney because of disgust with Obama...now will likely not vote, or vote for Obama. People are more concerned about their personal welfare than about the needs to change government programs. I guarantee you !!
Mess with it now or don't have it later.

Seems simple enough. Unless you're a democrat who has no understanding whatsoever of fiscal responsibility.

I have argued that millions of the elderly voters are scared of his plan. And will not support R/R. If they will vote at all?

So tell us then, why exactly did Romney pick him? Do you think it was for his pretty blue eyes and nice hair?

Not until they listen to it. It won't affect anyone over 55 and those under 55 will have a much better plan. SS will be broke in 20 years so there won't be anything for them if they do not change the course now. Ryan has a plan to do that. Obama will just let it go down the tubes.

If the plan for people under 55 will be so fantastic, why don't they apply it to people over 55 immediately as well?

Hmm...

You're very wrong, Ma'am.

Tons of Medicare/SS recipients don't trust Ryan's plan, or ANYBODY else, tampering w/ their personal welfare situation. When any politicians and/or government officials start messing with established programs, which Millions of Americans depend on to survive with a tad of quality, you will see tremendous backlash. To even propose this attempt to change/alter Medicare, is election year insanity.

Even tho Mitt Romney is trying to back away from Ryan's plan somewhat, I doubt he can. Elderly Folks are scared of losing their benefits. Not good for Mitt's and Ryan's potential electabilty.

I suspect Romney will change Ryan's plan on some things. Obama is the one that will change Medicare the most.
