Why yes, there are charts. Linked in the article.
A Rebuttal To Stupid Republicans Who Believe Obama Halted Domestic Oil Production

Now we will look at new leases on federal land. In 2001 Bush issued 3,289 new leases, only 2,384 in 2002, and 2,022, in 2003 and finally 2,699 in 2004. Now let’s compare Obama’s actions, in 2009 there were 2,072 new leases, in 2010 there were 1,308, and finally in 2011 there 2,188.

So when we compare two Presidents and the first term, Obama is NOT halting any production any more than George W Bush. In fact in some areas he exceeded President Bush.

So, if lefties will not take responsibility for 2009 and the budget (or much of anything else for 2009), how can you give Obama these numbers for 2009?

One MAJOR Problem with Obama taking any credit for in the increase:

ALL the increased oil production has been on PRIVATE LAND and not due to Obama granting any more oil leases.

IN FACT, Obama quietly placed a 30 year moratorium on any new off-shore drilling.

It's a valid question, because you think it is not....does not matter...

So... you're saying the numbers of leases granted on the Bureau of Land Management link are fake?
Are they all fake, or just Obama's?

So the Bureau of Land Management just made up some leases granted numbers for Obama? Try harder.

Sure it is. Why don't you open up a thread about it. I'd like to keep mine on topic.

Sorry OBAMATRONS:

Fact Check: Oil production under Obama up only on private land | www.krmg.com

Institute for Energy Research | IER Analysis: Oil and Gas Production Declines on Federal Lands in FY2011

PolitiFact Virginia | Barack Obama ad says U.S. oil production is at eight-year high

Quote:
Obama’s commercial is accurate in saying domestic oil production is at its highest level in eight years. The suggestion of the ad, however, overstates the administration’s role in achieving these results. Much of the increase in production during under Obama has come from state and private lands that the president does not control.
