Would you trust a person who ties the family dog to the roof for a 12 hour drive? (thought, regular)

23 million unemployed in this country and the Oblama campaign sends its minions out into the blogosphere to post ridiculous claptrap like this. PATHETIC.
It's still a pretty creepy thing to do, although it would be forgivable if I liked anything about Romney at this point. But yeah, it's creepy. Like, if someone told you a presidential candidate talked to his plants or something, yeah, that's fundamentally very silly, but it would still color your perception of him.
PEOPLE are in lines at soup kitchens, PEOPLE can't get jobs, PEOPLE are losing their life savings.....but all you worry about is someone putting a dog in a purpose built rootop dog carrier?
Liberal Logic
They didn't build roof top dog carriers back in those days. It was just an ordinary dog cage with no protection from the wind, no doggie camera inside like the dog carriers have today.
I might forgive someone for a bonehead decision like that, but I would never really trust them with anything important and certainly not with important decisions!
Do you really think this guy is presidential? And don't come back with your juvenile Obama shots, this has nothing to do with him. He let's his dog ride in the car.
I think he tried to kill Bambi also, and possibly "Old Yeller".
The desperation to which the left has resorted becomes more and more comical every day. They know that Obama will lose in November and they have gone into full panic mode.
Put up a competent candidate in 2016 and perhaps it will be a contest, particularly if Romney does not improve the economy.

How do you know what Mitt had? Did you see pictures of it or something? Show us those pics you saw.

The dog thing is firmly in the "wtf was he thinking?" category, but it doesn't really impact how I view his ability to run the country. Maybe it says something about his ability to make good decisions and acknowledge mistakes, maybe not really.
What does trouble me is the seeming ease with which he lies to voters, whether its about major issues or trivial things.

I believe you are correct. Mark Twain, in his book Innocents Abroad, refers to how some Muslims (in the Holy Land) would refer to "Christian dogs", which I guess meant that 1) these Muslims viewed dogs as 'unclean' and 2) by calling people "Christian dogs" they mean that said Christian was unclean.
Of course, there are always two sides to any story. Twain also wrote about how the residents of Istanbul loved, or at least tolerated, the dogs that ran wild in the city. The dogs helped to keep the city clean of varmin. The people got very upset when one of the potentates shipped a lot of the dogs out of the city, on barges, and had them drowned.
I will note that I have been to Istanbul several times: they no longer have as many dogs running wild in the city. Indeed, I saw many more cats than dogs.
Anyway, I believe that, officially, Muslims consider dogs unclean, but that they teach the dogs must be treated humanly, if kept, otherwise should be set free (hence the famous dog population of Istanbul).
If this is what The Democrats are running on....they're in much worse shape than I thought!
